Bottle from Beers of Europe. Bright amber pour with a white head. Tropical fruit aroma with hints of tangerine and vanilla. Mouth watering fruity flavours, plenty of citrus and a little sweet spice. Bitter hop burst on the palate. Quite dry. Fruity, hop filled finish. Interesting.

Bottle. Pours a hazy orange-yellow with a large, white head. Aroma/flavor is yeasty and malty with fruit notes. Fruity and slightly bitter finish.

Bottle. Hazy gold with a white foam. Aromas are brown sugar and caramel with earthy, woody notes and grapefruit. Quite leafy with pine and spices. Flavours are perfumed with bitter lemon and yeast. Very peppery and dry on the finish. Good.

ContemplateBeer (1507) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - DEC 11, 2011
Aroma of pepper, lemon, white grape and dough. Appearance is unfiltered amber with creamy bone head. Flavor is quite peppery up front, like a Saison, but also has some light fruity esters intertwined with dough; the finish is quite herbal. Palate is chewy and endlessly effervescent, like all the great Belgian ales. Excellent.

A clear golden colored beer, with a big white head. The aroma of malts with fruits like citrus. The taste is malty sweet. It has bitter in the back and notes of spices. The aftertaste is bittersweet with some spices.

Clear blond coloured beer with lots of carbonation and a huge white head. Fresh hoppy hinted light herby aroma. Medium to full palate. Finish is light bitter with a sweeter grassy ending. Not bad.

330ml bottle (Bierkompass.de)
7 Lovely fruity peachy fleshy fruit aroma.
4 Hazy light orange, brief frothy head.
7 Full fruity esters, but loads of barky bitterness too. Some lightish grains, but some liquorice too, so the malts are covering all bases.
4 Full, but quite uplifting palate, pleasant carbonation. Finish is a very serious kick of liquorice which lasts for a very long time. Some saltiness and iron in the long finish.
14 Delicious belgian ale, has plenty of saison features too. Fresh and uplifting. Absolutely no sense of the 7% alcohol at all.

Smiske R-Ale draft@ZBF 2011: “truesteamdryhoped” version, where a Hop Randall was used, I tried the version with Cascade hops, earlier in the day, poured a very cloudy, hazy orange, the structure was very grainy, chewy-like, taste was very strong on dry hops, followed by citrus, oranges & some yeast, with the dry hops leading to a very bitter aftertaste, it was like a hop, citrus-flavoured milkshake, all over the place, very unbalanced but very interesting & lovely
