Unfiltered amber with creamy head. Pepper& lemon & mostly honey nose. Full body, decent carbon. Sweet taste. Herbs, summer flower field, herbs and quina. Bitter aftertaste. Excellent. BH

Aroma of pepper, lemon, white grape and dough. Appearance is unfiltered amber with creamy bone head. Flavor is quite peppery up front, like a Saison, but also has some light fruity esters intertwined with dough; the finish is quite herbal. Palate is chewy and endlessly effervescent, like all the great Belgian ales. Excellent.

Pours a very hazy lemon orange with extremely think frothy white head. Aroma is a lot of bitter citrus (grapefruit) and some grainy metallic notes with cereal aroma as well. Flavor is very bready with undertones of caramel and brown sugar/candi sugar. Cotton candy flavors come out. Coriander present. Body is creamy but full of carbonation.

Bottle. Hazy yellow orange, massive whipped eggwhite foamy head. Flavor is pale malts, bread and a hint of yeast. Nice mild backbone of candi sugars and a fresh hop profile to dry it out a bit. Solid easy sipping Belgian pale ale. Tasty.

Very hazy amber beer, good off white head. Light semi dry palate, a little soft. Bitterish brett flavour contrasts with nice hops - bitterish orange, smooth peach and lesser tropical fruits. A little minerals and then building bitterness. Really nicely joined up and satisfying beer.

Botle 33 cl. A cloudy yellow with a beautiful huge white head and nice lacings. Fruity nose with quite some sulphur, dry and astringent, lemony and peppery notes. Flavor is sweet fruity with notes of citrus and egg. Medium body, lively carbonation, very dry astringent finish.

Smiske R-Ale draft@ZBF 2011: “truesteamdryhoped” version, where a Hop Randall was used, I tried the version with Cascade hops, earlier in the day, poured a very cloudy, hazy orange, the structure was very grainy, chewy-like, taste was very strong on dry hops, followed by citrus, oranges & some yeast, with the dry hops leading to a very bitter aftertaste, it was like a hop, citrus-flavoured milkshake, all over the place, very unbalanced but very interesting & lovely

Effervescent orange with a massive, uneven billow of foam- very Belgium. Attractive, hugely soapy hop aroma brimful of pine needle, satsuma, aloe vera, yeasty freshness and curry leaf. Marmalade tangy with peppery, piney Belgian hop balanced with bready malt and vanilla. Crisp, lasting carbonation, hints of yeast and alcohol warm. Really clean. Saw this off in about 10mins and could happily have seen off another. Good, solidly hopped Belgian brew all round.
