In 1998 a new enhanced draught product with improved head retention was launched along with redesigned glassware.

Average. Good creamy texture, nice lasting head, smooth. Flavor is malty, caramel, not much other than that. From a bottle into a frosted pint glass.

Good flavor and appearance. Goes down smooth. Freshness is a must. Had an old, stale one served to me at a bar while on vacation a few years ago and it was 6 months before I could bring myself to try it again. But its definitely in my regular rotation again.

Pint @ O'learys. Ok, but one of the more boring ones. I'd rather grab a Guinness. / Rated on the go

A red brown pour with off white head and lace. Aroma of straight malt. Good malt flavor with a hinto bitter. A bit of a sulphur like at the end. Good carbonation but a tad thin.

Draught, Harolds cross greyhound stadium, plastic glass! Nice red Amber, not much head. Not much aroma, little bit of nuttiness, malt. Flavour is dusty malt, toast. Very thin body. Quite fizzy, more dull malt in the finish. Not great.

Draft at a hotel bar. Pours clear red amber and a thin tan head. Nose of malts, some toast, and faint flowers. Taste is a tad sweet, some toast. Flowers on the finish. Kinda bland. Mouth seems a tad thin but ok none the less.

A - Pours a clear dark amber with brilliant clarity. A 1.5 finger eggshell head that sinks slowly. Descent lacing. S - Doughy bread, sweet toffee malts-lightly toasted. T - Dry grain mixes with a semi muted caramel malt background. Some fruity notes come out as it sits and has bread dough around the edges. Some faint tannins in the finish. M - Creamy and dry. This a good all around kick back beer. Dryer than the nose lets on. Easy drinking. Serving type: bottle 01-28-2011

Bready aroma with some sweet malts. Some bitterness; good carbonation. Mouthfeel is very nice also. Hard to tell this apart from, say, a premium lager, but it’s certainly a decent, quaffable beer with a good malt profile and just the subtlest hint of hops to keep it interesting. Super sessionable.
