Oconnels in Norman on tap
Looked like an english brown but was heavier on hops and lite on malt. It was nutty but not as sweet as I expected

330ml bottle pours a pale amber color with a creamy white head that retains well and leaves some soapy lacing on the glass. Aroma is mild caramel and hops. Taste is a light caramel malty sweetness with a sharp hoppy bitterness. Medium bodied with abundant carbonation. This is a pretty decent brew for this style.

Appears a little thin and glassy, but has a big, creamy head which looks gorgeous. Paints a big swath of lace on the side. Malts are sweet, sugary and English. Hint of cinnamon spice in the nose, at least on draft. Slight but decent. Malty flavors work well, though almost no hop. This beer gets a bad rap among geeks, but there is really nothing wrong with it.

12 oz bottle: Pours a light cola color with a thick fluffy white head. Aroma is mellow with sour malts and doughy yeast. Flavor is smooth, like a brown ale. Well balanced but a little bitter on the finish. Not bad, but nothing special.
3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 dmalave7 (11) - New York, USA - JAN 28, 2012
Decent aroma, decent look, but enjoyable taste. I had this in a pub and taste blew away, I can see why some would rate low because it can have a down watery taste, but I recommend this beer. If bought in bottle or can, I highly recommend chill before taste.

--- New red 500mL can ---
A clear ruby coloured beer with a soft quick vanishing head. Inviting aroma, not to intense, with a combination of hoppy, floral, malty, and caramel. Intensity and body are medium-high with a long aftertaste. A round texture on the tongue with a bitter hoppy, malty flavour. complex, rich and well balanced quality.
Appreciated.

I have the red draught can. Never had this beer b4,usally dont find it but my local lcbo has the green style cans by the case never had b4. Gave a big long lasting head and its a red ale. Some taste are a tad watery with I think a little quick hop bite and soem caramel taste on some sips. Like a caramel flaved ale. A good desert ale. If I could get this on the reg witch i can’t i’d buy a few cans for a treat here there. Not great but I like ales and caramel is nice. Worth a try and didn’t expect carAmel cheer’s.

Pours a dark drown to black with an off white head. Not a game changer, but a solid choice if you find your self in an American Irish style pub.
