DTM (361), Winters, California, USA Mar 31, 2008 Pours a very dark copper color with a good sized head. Smells of carmel and sweet malts. Tasted very maltly with little to no hops. A lot of lacing on the glass. Not bad, and would probably drink again.
joebudzjoe (100), Connecticut, USA Aug 20, 2008 Malty, smooth, but pretty thin. A good guzzling beer, lots of flavor but easy to put down. FatTony (106), Augusta, Georgia, USA Aug 16, 2008 12 ounce bottle- poured out a dull tea color with a long lasting wheat head that left lacing throughout the glass. Aroma was caramel roasted malts, and the taste followed suit. Palate was excellent, smooth and rich. Definitely a keeper. Thanks to Sporty for the recommendation. Codythegreat (110), Carrollton, Georgia, USA Aug 13, 2008 Pours a dark amber/caramel colour with a longlasting white head. Smells of roasted malt and tastes like it too. Overall pretty good. I drank this out of a shaker. evolute99 (1), , Missouri, USA does not count Aug 10, 2008 Not a bad beer however 8.99 a six pack is a little too much for this style of beer. I guess that is why I make my own.
You can smell the Carmel malts when you tip the glass for a drink. a hint of roasted barley a nice roasted finish to it as well. thenick (538), North Bellmore, New York, USA Aug 10, 2008 Pours a lovely amber brown and a slight off-white head. Aroma is roasted malt with detectable grain notes as well. Taste is the same, with a bitter ending, and the beer is creamy on the palate. It’s a very enjoyable beer; I’m always up for one of these.
