Good flavor and smooth drinking. Sorta a cross between an ale and strout. Best to drink a bit warm, meaning not chilled...and definatly not in a chilled mug. Cold makes it more watery. I like it.

11.2 oz. bottle. Pours copper red with a slight white head with soapy bubbles, does leave chunky lacing. Faint aroma of grain and minerals. Does have a slight amount of caramel and fruitiness going on. Is well balanced with sweetness and bitterness about equal. Light body, thin and creamy texture, lively carbonation, and clean, balanced finish. Is a good representation of the style, just lacking in anything unique. You can pound a lot of these down effortlessly.

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Low level of aroma, no hops detected, most a grainy aroma. Modest sudsy head with moderate to good retention, low to modest lacing but had to pour aggressively. Appearance clear with medium mahogany hues. Low complexity flavor and low to medium body. Astringent, grainy malt flavor aftertaste. Carbonation had bite. Overall very simple but not disappointing either. Would need a much greater hop character and aromatic dimension.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: MAR 12, 2014 500ml bottle. Pours light Amber, very clear, thick of white head leaving a lot of lacing. Aromas of malt sweetness, dried apricot, raisin, Carmel, a little butter aroma. Taste is quite boring, compared to aroma. Some caramel, some malty sweetness up front leveling out into some bitterness and dryness in the finish. It?s an easy summer beer.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
11.2 oz bottle into a pint glass.
A: Pours a clear reddish copper color. The head isn’t very nice looking: it’s a sudsy, one finger off-white shade with a slightly rough texture. About the only thing it does right is leave some lacing on the glass.
S: There really isn’t much here aside from a touch of cereal grain and some caramel maltiness. Nothing defined or anything that pops out of the glass by any means. It becomes slightly nutty as it warms up, though I don’t pick up any roasted barley.
T: It starts with a slightly acidic barley tingle, and finishes with some toffee. That’s about it really, but it actually kind of works considering that’s all it features.
M: I’ll give it one thing: it’s drinkable as hell. The thin texture, high carbonation, and ultra-clean finish means this goes down almost like water. I actually prefer that it has a slightly sharp, angular feel over a rounded, creamy (and sweet) one.
O: Not bad, not great, it’s just a very quaffable red ale with no standout characteristics. Basically, it’s one of those "chug ’em and forget when you’re in some faux-Irish pub" brews.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear, medium amber with a tan, frothy head. Aroma is lightly sweet malty, slight caramel. Medium bodied with decent carbonation. Flavor is a bit malty, sweet, light roasted...very light. It’s not too shabby, for what it is; an easy drinking pub ale.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours a dark color with a reddish tint. Smells as sweet as it tastes. An average beer but drinkable.
