500 ml bottle. (Texas Wine & Spirits) Carlsbad, CA.
Clear amber colour with a small off-white head. Strong resiny hops, sweetness, bitterness and some caramel malt in the aroma. The flavour is resiny and piney hops, moderate bitterness and lots of caramel malty sweetness. Quite balanced and nice for an Amber Ale. That style is not my favourite.

Bottle pour. Clear dark copper Amber with a large off white creamy head. Strong aroma of bread, rosemary, citrus, and a light caramel. Medium oily body. Initially light sweet taste with a decent bitter aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft. Not a big amber fan but I like Smog City. Pours a deep brownish copper. Chocolate nose backed with slight citrus hop. Taste is rich and fairly sweet by not over the top. Pretty enjoyable but not a personal favorite.

Bottle shared at the FF tasting. Poured a medium density clear honey amber with an average faomy light beige head. Aroma/flavor of chocolate, old orange slices, dirty citrus rind, grassy hops. Watery body with light carbonation.

Bottle. Amber pour with some head. Light citrus, herbal and Amber malt tones. Indecisive flavors, very boring,

Mellow citrus, bitter, herbal aroma. Good legs on the glass but head retention is lacking. Orange, citrus, pineapple, rosemary herbal flavor with a light bitterness and slight oil feel that’s most likely from the hops. Great as a dinner drink or by itself.

Bottle from Bine & Vine. Pours copper with a beige head. Aroma is musty malt with a hint of hop. Med body. Flavor is malty, moderately hoppy, and I think there’s a hint of chocolate. More and more variegated flavor than most ambers, and the hop is a nice touch, but the musty malt aspect is not appealing. Not an amber fan, but this is much better than many, many, many.

Dogbrick (9346) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JAN 18, 2015
Sample at the Aces & Ales Winter Beer Fest on 01/16/2015. Pours a clear amber color with a medium foamy off-white head that recedes steadily. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel and mild hops. Light to medium body with flavors of caramel malt, herbal hops and a bit of fruit. The finish is malty up front with a citrusy hops aftertaste. Decent overall.
