A hoppy, dry ale featuring a fantastic bouquet of Cascade hops in the nose. Deep gold in color with a tight, snow white head and pronounced hop flavor. Extensive "dry hopping imparts a strong hop aroma from the essential oils without imparting excessive bitterness.

Not the best pale ale around, but very serviceable. This one poured a clear orange gold with a small white head. Aroma was floral cascades. Flavor was dry, light with good piney hop flavors. Good stuff.

5oz sample from honeymoon. The cascade hops really shine through. This beer was very easy and pleasurable to drink. Refreshing hops and attractive aroma. One of my favorite from this brewery.

The best in their mediocre lineup, Smoky Mountain’s Appalacian Pale features a spicy hop attack that is more East Coast style, lacking the big citrus components of its West Coast brethren. More resiny with a mild earthy pale malt. Pouts clean clear amber.

5oz on tap at Smoky Mountain in Gatlinburg. Poured a clear copper color with a small white head. Aroma was some light floral notes, earthy, spicy hop profile. Body of the beer was malt heavy, with some light hop notes. Okay.

Keg at Smoky Mountain Turkey Creek, 16/02/15. Clear golden with a moderate off white covering. Nose is tangerine, juicy citric hops, grassy, toasted malt. Taste comprises tangerine, melon, citric pith. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough APA.

5oz on tap at the brewery. Caramel, bready malt. Light kind of citrus orange hop. Clear orange color. Thin white head, leaving good thicker sheet of lace. Moderate sweet taste, light bitter. Medium body. Kind of slick, light carbonation. A mediocre pale ale -- kind of sweet and malty.

Good american pale ale. Taste like it’s made with water straight from the mountains of Tennessee. Dry but not too much hop bitterness.

Clear light amber. Nice piney hops in the aroma turns into apricots in the flavor. Surprisingly bitter finish.

Draft: Clear gold, off-white head. Grapefruit, grain scent. Taste is watery, bitter, grapefruit-peel. This was not very good......may have been a bad run, judging by past reviews...... Flat and dull.......

Delicious Pale Ale. It wasn't just hoppy like Sam Adams 48 Latitude, but had a great flavorful finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
