Not the best pale ale around, but very serviceable. This one poured a clear orange gold with a small white head. Aroma was floral cascades. Flavor was dry, light with good piney hop flavors. Good stuff.

The best in their mediocre lineup, Smoky Mountain’s Appalacian Pale features a spicy hop attack that is more East Coast style, lacking the big citrus components of its West Coast brethren. More resiny with a mild earthy pale malt. Pouts clean clear amber.

5oz on tap at the brewery. Caramel, bready malt. Light kind of citrus orange hop. Clear orange color. Thin white head, leaving good thicker sheet of lace. Moderate sweet taste, light bitter. Medium body. Kind of slick, light carbonation. A mediocre pale ale -- kind of sweet and malty.

Good american pale ale. Taste like it’s made with water straight from the mountains of Tennessee. Dry but not too much hop bitterness.

Delicious Pale Ale. It wasn't just hoppy like Sam Adams 48 Latitude, but had a great flavorful finish.

Reasonably good pale ale. Not overly hopped. A little bland, but very drinkable.
