1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 muenster (345) - Sevierville, Tennessee, USA - AUG 8, 2006
UPDATED: AUG 30, 2008 Pours a shade more yellow than any other light beer I’ve seen. Aroma is faint dishwater. Delicately hopped is right. Why does this taste so much like cardboard??? Re-Rate 8/30/08- Draught. Much better than i remember, The appearance is still rather off putting, with no head, and a very pale yellow color. The aroma is grainy, with a little touch of citrusy hops. No traces of skunk or even the funky cardboard and butter that I remembered. Flavor is grainy with a bit of corn, and the finish has the faintest touch of spicy hops.

Tasted much like a light beer people have come to know. Nothing to tell you about here, water and more water in taste. No flavor at all. The cave water I had during my stay had much more flavor than this.

via trade with decaturstevo - Holy crap! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a beer as "piss yellow" as this one. Pours crystal clear with no head. Very light carbonation. Very light grainy aroma. Has a light corn, grain flavor. Light body. A little smoother than most BMC’s. I’m actually drinking a Miller Lite as I’m drinking and rating this SML. The SML beats the ML by a couple of tenths. It was close, but we have a new King of Swill. Yeeaaaa! Welcome to Club BMC. Next time I will drink it from the bottle. Thanks Steve

I didn’t rate the aroma low because of bad aroma’s but lack of aroma. It had a faint yellow hue not color. The taste wasn’t bad but there wasn’t much of it. The palate wasn’t bad there just wasn’t much of it. Overall there wasn’t much to it. Not bad but it should be called very light beer. If I had seen it in a glass I would have guessed that it was a dry white wine.

Tap. Pale gold color with a medium white head. Faint macro-skunk smell. Burnt corn taste. another beer where I can say it is not terrible and that is about it.
1.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20 Hangover (980) - Atlanta, Alabama, USA - JAN 16, 2006
The chick at the pub said this was their most popular beer... so I got it to go from the brewery (along with others). I think she was smoking something. This one poured almost clear, with a barely discernable yellowish hue and NO head. Skunky taste and finish. I can’t believe they took the time to brew this.

Yep, it’s a light beer. What can you say about light beers? Bland, uninteresting, watery...you know.

Draught at brewpub. Transparent pale gold in color with a thin, fizzy head. Weak aroma with some unpleasant odors. Very watery with traces of hops and cardboard. A step up from the bad macroswills, but not by much.

UPDATED: SEP 11, 2007 Revisited this one in the bottle today because I thought maybe I was too hard on it the first few times I had it. Y’know, I really wasn’t. This really is a bad beer. The fact that they boast a low caloric content is a bad omen. The pour here is laughable. It’s extremely light, almost clear yellow, with a fizzy white head. The nose is pretty rough stuff. I get strong hints of minerals, sugar, and subtler notes of urine. Yea, it’s fairly funky. Now for the flavor. This is the best part about the beer, honestly. It also clues me in on why so many BMC drinkers come to the brewpub, ask for the lightest beer they have, and are disgusted: because it has distinct hop character. Please understand that I don’t mean it tastes good, but that it actually has some defined European-type hoppiness going on (it’s certainly weak though) along with some mineral notes. I can’t hold this beer against Mr. Velas because he obviously knows his market and realizes he needs a fizzy, pale yellow, low calorie beer that he can serve ice cold to satisfy his clientele. But, uh, it is just that.

Ugly sparking white grape juice color, white head. Aroma of corn, plastic. Flavor is swill. Nothing special going on here folks.
