12oz bottle-pours a disappearing tan head and dark mahogany color. Aroma is dark malt-chocolate/roasty. Taste is sweet dark malt-chocolate/roasty/ peat/molasses, secondary earthy hops. OK carbonation. Hint of vinegar. Full body. Nice. Thanks decaturstevo for sharing.

Draft sample at the brewpub in Pigeon Forge. Poured a clear dark brown color with a medium off-white frothy head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Medium roasted malty aroma. Medium body. Medium roasted bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of average duration. Best of the sample set.

Bottled: Reddish brown coloured. Brownish medium sized head. Buttery, roasted coffee aroma. Flavour is fruity with loads of coffee. Is a bit thin bodied. Not much going on in the end. Light roast. Thanks to Springslicker for this.

UPDATED: OCT 6, 2006 Bottle... Sparkling clear, very dark, ruby ale. Small, creamy, well-tanned head. The aroma is of hazelnut and vanilla coffee beans with a splash of chocolate. Well-balanced chocolate flavor. Medium-bodied with a silky mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Lengthy, chocolate and coffee, dry finish. Very nice beer. Thanks to springslicker for the bottle!
