Smugglers Strong Scottish Ale

Dark porter with an initially bitter taste, and a nutty aftertaste. Really great beer.

Draft at the brewpub during Telluride Blue and Brews Weekend 2006: Dark, almost brown/red. Big and sugary malt with a hint of smokiness but a sweet swirly finish.

Deep burgundy with a yellowish-tan head on my palette. Very smooth and creamy on my palate ... kind of chewy, even. Malts were nice, with roast, peat, chocolate and toast. Pinch of smoke, too. The aforementioned drifted into the aroma. Hops were in the background, nicely. Pretty good beer.
