COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Native to northern Europe, Baltic porters evolved from British porters once exported to the Russian hinterland. Unlike their British cousins, Baltic porters are often brewed as lagers, the tradition we’ve followed. This beer is big, bold & smooth, with malty flavors reminiscent of coffee, dark fruit & raisins. Bottle. Pours a dark black color with a decent tan head. Roasted malt notes with some caramel and vanilla in the background. Complex taste. Strong vanilla notes with brown sugar. Very smooth and not overpowering. Overall, a really solid porter.

Ogólne wrażenie: świetna interepretacja stylu, bogaty aromat i smak, odpowiednia ilość ciała, dobry balans między słodyczą i goryczką, alkohol fajnie ukryty, zaskakująco pijalne. Obecnie najlepszy porter bałtycki jaki piłem.

W aromacie czekoladowy likier, gorzka czekolada, lukrecja, suszone owoce, nieco alkoholu. W smaku podobnie dominuje odczucie likieru z gorzkiej czekolady z subtelnymi wtrętami suszonych owoców, rodzynek i jagód.

6 oz pour from tap at 54 degrees into tiny sniffer at Churchkey. Dark brown and opaque with a creamy light brown head. The head looks like the bubbles in chocolate milk. Nose is sweet, milk chocolate, coffee, caramel, and a little roasty. Full is full and a bit dry. Creamy too. Taste is less sweet than I would have expected. Roasty, chocolate, coffee, a little nuttiness. A bit bitter.

Aromat to przede wszystkim śliwka w czekoladzie, rodzynki, szlachetna nuta alkoholowa.

little bit strong for me. But Rich flavor and a scent of dark chocolate is great. It’s like drinking bitter americano.

Tap. Pours and easy 5, thick pitch black with dense ever-lasting brown head. Aroma is very sweet and fudgy, chocolate, cocoa, vanilla and roasty coffee. The roast really compliments the sweet notes and all the dried fruits, dates and port grapes, slight oxidation and something reminiscent of light leather. Really complex for the style. Tate is sweet, port grapes and some acidic sherry. Again this is complex. Chocolate milk, dark bitter chocolate, fresh ground and pressed coffee and raisins. Roasty coffee and light dry cocoa finish. No sight of the ABV. Really smooth and chocolate milk-like. Turns from sweet to more roasty. Very very well balanced.
