Commercial Description:
For our hopping regime we went with Cascade and Nuggets in the boiling addition. Centennials were added every 5 minutes for the last 30 minutes of the boil. We added Crystals into the whirlpool. Dry hopping was done in both the fermentor after primary fermentation and the bright tank. We used a mixture of Chinook, Nuggets, and Sterlings in the fermentors and whole leaf Centennials in the bright tank.

Draught, from the Barley Pub in Dover, NH. Copper color, medium off-white head. Very strong hop aroma, citrus/grapefruit, and a little bit of malt. Flavor is very hoppy--nice hop blend, and a good malt balance,. Very dry finish with alcohol in aftertaste. Great beer.

2006. Bomber. Pours a slightly hazy orange with a small off white head, lots of lacing around the glass. Aroma is great on this beer and is of mostly pine and bitter orange/grapefruit. Taste is very citrusy, with a strong pine bitterness, tastes of sweet malt, orange, earth, with a slightly tart and bitter citrus finish. pretty complex, great beer!

Bottle from Bert, thanks buddy. I really like this brewery, I have enjoyed all the beers from them. Cloudy golden brew with a white foamy head. Lots of grapefruity hops from this a great hoppy bitter taste. Nice on the tongue. Still, I was able to pull a bit of rich malt out and it added to the complexity.

22oz bottle, sampled this at work from dare I say it (plastic cups). But the color was golden and the head was decent. The nose was a very nice mix of citrus & pine. The flavor was a little off for me, to much pine cone from the hop vs grapefruit. I have had other IIPA’s with this IBU that were better like Avery Maharja. Mouth feel wasn’t knocking me dead either. Overall I like the beer just not an everyday beer for me. At 9.2% it could have been smother.

Quite a piney aroma....palate is bitter grapefruit then its like i’m sucking on lemon seeds....the finish is GRAPEFRUIT!...not a huge fan of it on its own.... but, would love it with a marinated Hawaiian chicken dish topped with pineapples and cherries....yum..:) Not as impressed with the flavor as I was with the style.

Smells like I’m in a pine forest with a glass of grapefruit juice under my nose, taste is all about piney grapefruit hop taste,so much so your mouth almost puckers from the tartness, the malt is hardly enough to support this big hop assualt, your start burping pine needles almost right away, big bodied, alcohol well hidden, citrusiness gets a little muddled at the end, another tremendous success from a brewery quickly becoming one of my favorites.HOPHEAD ALERT Stock up on this

Great, strong hoppy beer with a citrus taste that is more subtle than other beers of its ilk. Smooth finish and overall a great beer to enjoy in the summer
