Smuttynose Big A IPA

Great, strong hoppy beer with a citrus taste that is more subtle than other beers of its ilk. Smooth finish and overall a great beer to enjoy in the summer

Fruity, spicy, hoppy aroma...hazy but still clear orange/amber color... good foamy white head which laced the glass on its way down. Strong hoppy flavors, but some fruity/citrusy elements helped to ease the bitterness. A fine example of a Double IPA.

Draft @ Great Lost Bear Pub in Portland - Poured a hazy orangish amber in color with a medium white head that faded to a thin rim around the glass. Aroma was quite strong of citrus/grapefruit hops. Flavor is all about the hops... awesome!. Finished with a nice hop bitterness. Really good...

22 oz bomber. Hazy amber beer with a thin white head. Big fruity/resiny hop aroma with big piny overtones. Crackery and lean maltiness. Tropical mango character. Flavour is very hoppy, resin, pine, soft but heavy insistent bitterness. Fruity flavour throughout. Heavy pithy grapefruit and long bitterness. Some peppery alcoholic flavour. Nice IPA.

22 oz bottle .. hazy golden pour , foamy white head , decent lace. sweet and floral aroma . good hop flavor and light citrus notes as well. crisp and refreshing pretty good stuff .

Yellow, white head, clear, pine aroma, some grassiness, flavor is that of hops, and light citrus. Decent.

Draught pint at RedBones 6/17/06. Pours a clear golden yellow color with a bright white foamy head. Nose is floral and dry grassy hops with a nice honey note to it. Palate is playful with a good carbonation ratio and a crispness to it. Flavors are mostly the grassy and floral hop notes with a light sweet malt backround.

pretty good stuff. rather smooth, goldinish colour, sweet hop aroma, bit fruity hop flavour. not an overpowering hop presence but enough to make it a good IPA.
