COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
For our hopping regime we went with Cascade and Nuggets in the boiling addition. Centennials were added every 5 minutes for the last 30 minutes of the boil. We added Crystals into the whirlpool. Dry hopping was done in both the fermentor after primary fermentation and the bright tank. We used a mixture of Chinook, Nuggets, and Sterlings in the fermentors and whole leaf Centennials in the bright tank.

bottle. deep golden with small head. rather bland hop flavors -- seems stale and flat. i just don’t dig the earthy hops used in east coast IPAs. very pedestrian take on a double IPA.

A complex aroma of hops, citrus raisins and a hint of malt. Cloudy orange colour without much head. A bitter taste with a hint of dried fruit. Bitter palate of citrus zest.

En mycket spännande lukt som slår hårt i näsan. Hög beska och mycket fin kolsyra. Fruktig men inte så att det tar över. Detta var min första Smutty och sen dess är jag fast. Mästerverk.

A nice aroma which fades as you drink like many IPA. Nice clarity with a thin lasting head. Citrus and Pungent Hops provide a nice flavor. Maybe a bit to pungent for my liking. Nice thickness on the tongue as expected for a DIPA. Overall nice DIPA, not a miracle but good.

Murky orange pour, nose of grapefruit, lemon peel, some resin and a hint of malt in the background. Slick palate, big grapefruit and resin on the taste. Good stuff ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Smell of Curtis is outstanding! Beautiful white thick head. But the hoppy balance with the malt is slightly off. But still a very good beer. After taste is slightly off. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Great beer. Hazy orange pour with small white head. Aroma is musty pine and citrus. Taste is bitter citrus, pine and malt. Almost a creamy mouth feel.

On tap at Three Penny Taproom in Montpelier. Pours a beautiful solid amber. Very crisp on the nose. Complex flavors of citrus and hops, with a nice smooth finish. Really good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle from I like That, Portsmouth, NH. An amber pour with a thick creamy head; the aroma has resinous, piney hops and some sweetness; in the mouth it’s surprisingly smooth and creamy with tropical fruits, citrus and butterscotch and a deep undercurrent of dry hops; the finish is biscuity and satisfying with a long lingering hoppy bitterness. A very drinkable strong IPA, that shows that there is a place of subtlety and finesse in this style.
