For our hopping regime we went with Cascade and Nuggets in the boiling addition. Centennials were added every 5 minutes for the last 30 minutes of the boil. We added Crystals into the whirlpool. Dry hopping was done in both the fermentor after primary fermentation and the bright tank. We used a mixture of Chinook, Nuggets, and Sterlings in the fermentors and whole leaf Centennials in the bright tank.

Hazy orange color with small white head. Aroma is tropical, pine needles, grapefruit, some caramel. Taste is heavy, juicy, similar to the aroma. Quite an extreme unbalanced bitterness. Smooth carbonartion. Alright but not top.

Originally rated on 3/2/15. Pours a murky orange body with a foamy khaki head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small spots of lace are left around the glass. Smell is of citrus zest, and grapefruit juice. Taste is much the same with citrus zest, grapefruit, and pine needle, there is an astringent kick thats a real turn off though. Medium body with a decent hop bite. Overall the astrigency aspect really killed a promising beer.

Pours a slightly hazy yellow/gold with an average size lasting foamy white head. Decent lacing. Big aroma of citrus, pine and floral hops with some caramel malt to balance things out. Tastes similar to the aroma but the bitter alcoholic aftertaste is slightly unbalanced.

12 ounce bottle. Hazy orange gold color. Foamy wife head. Aroma has notes of apricot, caramel apples, citrus and perfumy pine hops. Flavor is more of the same, with caramel, apples, pine needles, tropical fruit and a big dose of spicy bitter hops. Some mango and boozy notes in mid taste. Bittersweet toasted malt is eclipsed by the huge hop bill that dominates this DIPA. Dry bitter finish and aftertaste.

Picked up a half-growler from Al's of Hampden. Gold color with a two finger, white, dimpled, foam head. Pineapple nose dominates, but more of a pine taste. Sharp grapefruit hoppiness, fusel notes, citrus, big pine, some biscuity malts with sweetness of apricot and pineapple. Medium+ body and smooth with some bite in the finish. A nice DIPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
