A hazy orange pour with tons of little floaties and a thick, bubbly off-white head. Lots of citrusy hops in the aroma of course, but also more alcohol showing through than in other I2PAs I’ve tried. This makes the aroma a little sweeter than I’m used to for this style. It leans more toward the oranges than the grapefruits. A good bit of warming alcohol present in the taste shows my nose wasn’t wrong. The hops still dominate the flavor though. Smooth, yet lacking the tanginess I prefer with this style. Citrus fruits and rinds with bitterness throughout and a lingering dry, piney finish. Sticky. ante (2928), Stockholm, Sweden

Flavour starts sweet of nectarines but finishes really hoppy of orange-peels and grapefruit. blankboy (3198), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 16, 2005 Updated: Mar 13, 2006Rerate: Bottle shared with HogTownHarry. Bottled in 2005. Pours a slightly hazy yellow-gold, lots of bubbles, with an average size lasting foamy white head. Decent lacing. Big aroma of citrus, pine and floral hops with some caramel malt to balance things out -- very nice. Flavour follows the aroma and unlike last time I do not find it too hoppy but the bitter alcoholic aftertaste is slightly unbalanced, still a damn tasty beer though. Medium bodied. A great IPA!

Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, tupalev & jerc -- courtesy of tupalev. Pours a clear orange with a small white head. Aroma of hops, hops and hops and I loved it! Also some citrus, malt and tea way in the back. The flavour, well, unless you’re a hop-head I wouldn’t bother with this one. I am a hop-head, and I really liked it but even I found it a tad too hoppy. Still, it was very enjoyable. jerc (3885), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Interestingly hoppy, wiht lots of leafy resiny hops and trace hints of tea. A touch more malt and balance would ease it closer to perfection. Medium palate. Nice, thanks tupalev.
