3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Low but lasting white fluffy head. Hazy orange body. Aroma of wood hay grans and a fruity note that I cannot quite figure out. Powerful extra dry and bitter pine grass flavor with low carbonation and a long bitter aftertaste.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Courtesy of tpd975. Pours deep gold with copper core and tan head. The aroma is full citrus grapefruit hop tartness and a mild background of sweetness that seems like it must be malts, kind of sugary. The taste is solid citrus hop bitterness from grapefruit and orange peel. Lots and lots of citrus hop bitterness throughout the flavor with a faint background of malt sweetness. This is a solid IPA with plenty of citrus hops to go around. I do get a sense of the ABV but not distracting. It lacks a bit of the IIPA thick viscous chewiness I enjoy in the style.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dark honey coloured, nice lacing on the topping white head. Huge floral nose with delicate orange and earthy undertones. Good malt base ensures a great balance, toasty, bready and biscuity. Citrusy, orangey and almost fluffy palate, moderately bitter, faintly alcoholic. Thick body, soft carbonation, comfortable mouth presence. Textbook big IPA to me. Good job.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle (650ml). Shared with blankboy, his bottle. Poured very bubbly, slightly hazy gold with a large lasting foamy-fizzy off-white head. Nice strong aroma of citrus and tropical fruit hops, sweet malt and a bit of yeast - I like the fresh pineapple character - fairly sweet - almost honeyed grain - for a big-hopped beer. The taste is less sweet and the hops are as much resiny as fruity, definite hop and alcohol bitterness in the flavour and strong grapefruit in the longish linger, the alcohol dominates the finish a bit more than Iíd like, but the malt manfully attempts to keep up all the way to the ... ahem, bitter end. Mouthfeel is astringent, sticky, solid bodied and nicely carbonated - a very good IIPA, itís no Dreadnaught, but solid.
