What is Bouncy House? Itís the next step in our quest to brew the perfect low-alcohol, high-flavor, hoppy American ale. We learned a few things from brewing ParadoX earlier this year, like lowering the alcohol content and avoiding the terms "session" and "IPA." When you taste Bouncy House, youíll taste a modest malt bill of North American 2-row, British pale ale malt, C-60 and Aromatic malt mashed for a refreshingly light body that leaves plenty of spotlight for a melange of Warrior, Calypso, El Dorado and Citra hops.

Session IPAs typically arenít that flavorful in my opinion, more in the nose than taste, and this one is no different. Decent aroma of tropical fruits, but the flavor is like a watered down pale ale. Some of the citrus comes through at the end. Itís not that this is a bad beer, itís alright, but with a nose like that, I wish the taste was better.

Pours yellow orange with a nice aroma. Flavor and mouthfeel are short, hoppy with no backbone. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

An unassuming, perfectly fine representative of a session IPA, with nothing either bad nor especially good other than its not a bad beer.

This beer really lives up to its name; it has a light character, easy to drink, and has a cheerful, fruity aroma to the hops. RateBeer says 4.9% ABV but my bottle says 4.3% and it feels much more like the low end when drinking it. The hops definitely dominate...the malt is weaker. Flavor is lightly sweet and lightly bitter...for how intense the hop aroma is, thereís only a little hop bitterness.
