Perhaps a bit too cold. Sweet malts present. Nice color tasted almost more like an Alt to me rather than a saison. sliffy (1966), Columbus, Ohio, USA

Lightly spiced toasty biscuity malty aroma. Body starts with a full, sweet caramel maltiness with some dry grassy earthy notes and a good, sweet, slightly warming finish. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 8, 2007 Pours a cloudy amber with a smallish head. A very orangey, slightly pithy aroma. A spicy undercurrent comes with a mellow fruitiness. This is much hoppier than expected, but it melds well with the rest of the flavors and aromas. This is really a solid beer. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 7, 2007 A great representation of a farmhouse ale with a nice farmhouse mule kick in the ass. Pours a light gold with high carbonation and a lot of fizz. Smelled of clean hops and fresh citrus. The flavor was surprisingly light for such a high abv%. Very classy. cbkschubert (1967), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA
