3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Clear(despite being bottle conditioned), deep gold appearance with a thick head that faded rather quickly but left good lacing. Soft fruit aroma, accentuating the yeastyness, with a slight medicinal note at the very end. Taste was fairly sweet, turning a bit spicier as it warmed. Smooth, medium-bodied, nicely carbonated mouthfeel. Well hidden alcohol catches up fast as it finishes. Side note: the label was a beauty.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours an attractive glowing clear orange with a foamy white head. Aroma of flowers, lemon and yeast/clove. Very sweet for a saison; notes of light caramel, lemon, orange, flowers, banana, clove, honey and hay. Iím nothing close to a pro brewer but it appears that this may have been mashed at too high of a temperature - has a full, slick, body and a good amount of residual sweetness, doesnít have that dry saison finish. Moderate carbonation. Needs some tweaking but overall, a solid beer.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Medium sized offwhite head, retention is good with a nice lace. Hazy orange/copper color. Lightly spicey nose with notes of wheat and fruity citrusy aromas. Body is fairly light, a touch oily. Dry wheat malt flavors, light pepper notes, citrus, subdued fruityness. Finish is almost dry and fruity. A fair attempt.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
(22oz bottle) Hazy amber body topped by an off-white head. Aroma is moderately sweet, orange/floral, some caramel, light yeast/duskiness. Taste is moderately sweet, orange/floral, some syrup, sugar, light alcohol. Watery light-medium body, some chalk, low carbonation. I found it too sweet and not dry enough.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: NOV 20, 2008 In short: A citrusy Saison with strong farmhouse character. Very good.
How: Bottle 22oz, consumed fresh one month after purchase
The look: Partly cloudy golden body topped by a small white head
In long: Nose of wild yeast just how I like it, they donít call it farmhouse for nothing, strong farmhouse character indeed. Fresh and crisp citrusy flavour blend it perfectly with the farmhouse character to create a somewhat wild and very refreshing beer. Strong APA style citrusy hops with tasty mild juicy bitterness. A little spiciness here and there. If you really wanna get smutty in the farmhouse this is how you do it: first take a Portsmouth resident, then add a sheep, thenÖ

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
2006 Edition 22oz Bomber. Thin foamy small bubble head with an orange body. Smells of sweet malt and honey. Taste is sweet malty, spicy, and mildy fruity. Tangy mouthfeel but pretty smooth. I think this is a little overrated, itís decent but not derserving of the 3.65 it has right now.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle conditioned in 2006. Pours clear and golden with absolutely no head. None. I thought that I had picked up a bad bottle at first. Light, alcoholic aroma. Somewhat sweet from light fruit and yeast. The yeast is very authentic in its, um, Belgianicity. Very sweet in the mouth, especially for a farmhouse. Sweet from molasses and caramel and a little bit of citrus, especially at the finish. The finish is dry and has a little citrus tartness and a hint of brettanomyce, but not enough. I guess itís not bad, but it could be drier, and a little less sweet for my tastes.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Hazed amber with splashes of rust. Small white head. Nose is soft fruit notes, lots of spice, obvious Belgian yeast notes, grains, light flowery notes, and sweet malts. Light grassy hops as well. Another rater mentioned a witbier and thatís almost exactly what it smells like minus the lemony aroma. Taste is spicy and sweet with white pepper notes, coriander, light tangerine, melon, grassy notes, yeast notes, hints of fresh flowers, and light funkiness. Body is surpringly smooth and creamy. I expected a little bit more sharpness from the carbonation. The carbonation, however, seems like dense microbubbles and this helps add to a pleasant mouthfeel. Finishes with more spice notes, ripe fruits, Belgian yeast, light grain notes, and light hint os straw and earthy funk. Nice, but I donít know how well this would age. Guess Iíll find out!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz. bomber. Hazy, dark golden color with a small off white head. Fruity, spicy aroma that reminds me somewhat of a Belgian wit with all the citrus and coriander in there. Refreshing citrusy flavor with lots of grassiness and spices(coriander, pepper).

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Lightly hazy gold with big sand-colored head. Biotic, fruity aroma. Medium-heavy tartness. Medium-light sweetness and a bit tannic. Belgian yeast finish. Medium light body. Good, not as complex as the aroma suggested. Too cidery at times.
