3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 JCW (1273) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAR 16, 2012Bang for the buck, this a hell of a deal($6 for a bomber). Color is brownish yellow, hazy and it pours with the right size head for the style. Aroma of bread yeast with a slight tartness(the way I’d describe most saison/farmhouse ales). Flavor is banana and slight pepper. It is upfront sweet, with a dry finish. Very good effort for Smuttynose.
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 mikedR (362) - Gilbert, Arizona, USA - MAY 22, 2013
Wonderful fruit-forward saison-"style" beer, but definitely departs greatly from the style. Big fruit aroma and taste. Not much carbonation. Very smooth, and quite high in ABV -- 9.3 -- but is cloy. Some discernible Belgian yeast, but really we're talking fruit fruit and more fruit here. I like it!

A little light on the saison vibe. Pours golden clear. Aroma of booze and some florals though influence is light. Average carbonation, consistency. Taste alittle astringent. Sours after a few breaths. Tap at Coles during some 18 year old Mardi Gras party.

Bottle. Pours a hazy copper color with a moderate white head. Nose has a fair amount of citrus in it with a little bit of "farm" in the nose. Taste has some sour notes in there, which is nice. It’s an easy drink.

Sigh, The "unique" saison yeast isnt a saison yeast. Tastes like sweet blonde ale with some fruity character. I love saisons and this makes me mad.

Bottle poured into glass. Orange color with a cloudy center. Orange zest in the aroma, followed by spicy citrus in the flavor. Not too bad.
