COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Originally brewed in the early 19th century for export from Britain to the imperial court of Russia’s Catherine the Great, imperial stouts are characterized by their dark color & full body. This style features a rich, malty sweetness coupled with aggressive hopping (especially in American interpretations). Notes of dried fruit as well as roasted malt flavors are typically present.

Bomber received in a trade from Drink4Satan, thanks! Pours very thick. A lot hoppier than I expected in both the nose and the taste. The hops have the edge over the malts in the taste profile, and I like that. Very unusual for a stout. Finish is very long - aftertaste lingers for quite some time. Unusual Imperial Stout, but good to see someone breaking the mold.

Bottle @ Kufle i Kapsle. Black with a lasting brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate and moderate hoppy. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish with warming alcohol. Oily. 310715

10%!!! Smells of berries bitterness chocolate and espresso. Pours a big mocha bown head with black black beer. Taste the hops give it some sort of a berrie/mint coolness a little a tad watery thick/thin bitterness, earthyness some chocolate and esprsso. with a bit of a throat and belly burn. Feels light medium bodied. Big bad mother fucking beer. Cheers!!!!!

Really surprised to see this in Angola, IN. Bomber (bottle conditioned in 2014) to snifter. Poured like motor oil with one finger brown foam head, faded quick. Smelled of roast, chocolate, hops. Thinner body, much dryer than expected. Flavor didn't match nose. Good, higher hopes. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

650ml bottle from LCBO. 10% ABV. Opaque black body, medium chocolate head with long lasting foam. Aroma of dark chocolate, wood charcoal, hints of licorice, chocolate liquor, some shy hops behind the sweetness. Taste of burned toast, coffee, licorice, herbs, chocolate, a touch of spiciness and a late warming effect. Fabulous brew.

Ułożony, z dobrymi elementami składowymi smaku i zapachu. Ale nie porywa. Po prostu kolejny bardzo dobry RIS z genialnym aromatem.

Pours a jet black with a tan head that quickly dissipates. Aroma is lots of earthy and spicy hops, along with some roast, but the hops dominate. Flavor is earthy and spicy hops, chocolate, and some roast and a little booze. Has a touch of bitterness as well. The hops profile make this very interesting. I prefer a more stout-like imperial stout, but this still manages to be quite good.

Chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, creamy and a bit smokey. Everything you want in a RIS. Nose has a noticeable hop presence.

Pours a dark brown with light tan head. Nose of chocolate and booze. Taste of some chocolate, some smokiness and booze. A bit too much on the smokey and alcohol taste for me. Good, but not more. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
