A - Pours a bright clear golden-orange color with a finger of frothy white head atop. The head fades down to a ring around the glass leaving behind some nice lacing in the process.
S - Aroma is full of citrus hops with lots of grapefruit. There is also some more pine hope aroma that mixes well.
T - Starts off with citrus flavor right away with grapefruit and orange flavor with some solid background bitterness. Just a touch of malt in the background. Through the middle, the hop taste explodes with more pine hop flavor coming out and some good bitterness. The finish is full of hop flavor and strong bitterness that lingers very nicely.
M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. The strong bitterness gives the beer a very dry mouthfeel, which is really nice.
D - Very drinkable. The hop profile is excellent, with strong hop flavor and a nice mix of pine and citrus flavors throughout. The finish is powerful with the bitterness but still crisp and refreshing.

We had this at the beginning of our hop addiction but it was un-remembered. This time around it is much better. Beautiful frosty brass colour on the pour with a nice thick head that lingers. The nose is very floral and clean followed by a bitter hop wallop on the first sip. There is a hint of peppery funk on subsequent sips. Very clean and bitter finish that lasts. Now, if I could find some more of the Imperial Stout they produce.....

12 ounce bottle purchased at a liquor store in norther New Jersey while on a business trip there ($1.99). Pours into small hotel glass a golden orange hue with lots of floaties and a full finger of fluffy off-white head that has good retention. Hoppy aroma of sour-bitter citrus, some pine, and light musty-dank hop notes (cat piss). Flavor of pine needles and bitter grapefruit dominates at first with a much weaker caramel maltiness coming in late. I was surprised by the bitterness level of this east coast IPA. Lingering bitterness on the palate. Solid IPA. (1121, 535)

Pours bubbly amber with a finger-wide white head. Aroma is of sweet caramel, apples, orange peel, pine needles. Flavor is very heavy on the pine needles with some oranges and sweetness in the finish. Not too bitter or too sweet, well balanced, kind of plain for an IPA though.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 asheft (2032) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - APR 24, 2011
[bottle]
Slightly musty pine and pineapple aroma with a hint of caramel-banana-apple. Hazy orange-copper under a lasting, thick off-white cover. Bitter, citrusy hops begin the tasting experience, followed by spicy malt, then banana and pineapple, then assertive bitterness. Light body, moderate carbonation, bitter finish.
