3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
New arrival in Madison, WI. Nice to see it. The body is a dark gold with ahint of haze and a thin white head. The aroma is fresh and brigh with some grapefruit, old toffee, iced tea and some earthy grass. All nice smells in this one. The taste is more in your face than I expected. Lots of grapefruit and some burnt bread crust. There is also some bitter grass. A little much for me. I would like a bit of malt balance, but those that love hops should enjoy this one.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft. Good, white head with lots of lacing in its wake. Small bubble carbonation. Amazing floral, grapefruit aromas. Hops also confront you on the biting first contact, and carry through the beer. Aggressive hopping and other elements all in their place, so a nice balance. Dry finish leaves, again, a lot of hop to contend with. A good, grabby IPA.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draught - Dark golden body; white head fast away, beautiful laces; Quite big, super hoppy nose: Flowers, apricot; great carbonation in bitter, but well balanced body; Super dry when swallowed, it almost dries out your throat (like eating dry hop); Very, very long finish full of hop, but a little to sweet. Not a perfect relation between the super dry and bitter part from the hop and the sweetness of the finish.

12 oz bottle. Faintly hazed orange with a white head; lacing remains. Light floral and citrus. Sweet orange morphs to grapefruit and stays bitter for a while. Medium body, fine carb.

4.2 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bought in a Trader Joe’s in Brookline, MA. Much to my surprise, this IPA was very tasty. The aroma was very fresh and bursting with hops. Not the biggest nor the best IPA around, but for once my expectations were bested by a beer. A very nice smooth beer with a big hop finish.

First off, great label. Bottle has some yeast residue at the bottom that I plan to pour right into the glass with the beer. Beer pours a gorgeous golden color. Clear but not pristine, there’s a subtle haze in there. Little bubbles stuck all over the inside of the glass. Nice snow white head...pillowy, tight bubbles. As the head falls it leaves a devastating wake of brussels lace behind. So far so good. Halfway thru this beer and the head is still nice and frothy.
Good, solid aroma. Hoppy with a bit of citrus and pine.
Mouthfeel is smooth especially once the carbonation settles down.
IPA’s have come a long way now adays. Gone are the traditional cascade dominated beers of yesteryear. This is an easy drinking beer. First impression is grapefruit. Second impression is grapefruit as well. Aftertaste is pure grapfruit with a wash of bitterness from a huge pile of bittering hops. Slight alcohol waffs about halfway thru the swallow.
Overall: This is a straight forward, well crafted beer...something that any brewer would be proud of. Lacks a little bit of depth that I would prefer. I could certainly drink another one of these right now. The still going grapefruit aftertaste doesn’t let you forget this beer easilly. Good call on this one Wilked.

Pours a nice deep amber color. Aromas of hops, caramel, some herb, and a touch of nuttiness. Taste was well balanced to start then the hops kicked in. Strong grapefruit flavors with malts and a crisp dry finish.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
(Draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm) Amber colour with little head. Fruity nose packed with hops, grapefruit and some toffee. Not as sweet as expected. Taste is brilliantly hoppy and bitter, with nuts and satisfying amounts of fresh hops (and still lacking that cloying sweetness). Long hoppy finish. Brilliantly balanced and absolutely beautiful.
