COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Smuttynose IPA is a physical salute to the glory of the American hop grower. The citrusy hop flavor coming from a mixture of Simcoe and Santiams is pleasantly balanced by a smooth bitterness from the Amarillo hops. The beer itself is light bodied and crisp with a golden color that will throw a slight haze, as we bottle it unfiltered. At 65 IBUís, this is definitely not a training-wheels IPA, but is meant for hop lovers looking to satisfy their craving in a way thatís not easy to find. We think theyíll be quite pleased.

I gave the aroma a 2. I kid you not that this smellied like a toliet sitting in the sun. Not sure if it was bad batch or what, but good lord it stunk. Getting past that it was quite tasty, decent amount of hop bit, nice aftertaste. But good lord, that smell, yar. Still have 4 more to drink, maybe the smell will subside, if not for the stink, i would have been a big fan!

This beer was poured into a flute glass with a minor head. It has a cloudy color with a lot of particulats in it. the flavor is very bitter and a malty and very hoppy flavor like an IPA should be. i really enjoy the bite it makes the beer.

Simple, raw, green, resinous hop aromas and flavors. Good pale malt base. This is beer minimalism. Hop juice!

Good work done here. Very flavorful, hoppy, and yet parch your lips dry. Drank this guy out of a bottle and enjoyed the balance and drinkability.

yummmmmmmm Oooooooooooooo Oh baby nice beer. Canít says I can identify those hops they list - seems like good old fashioned cascade to me. But whatever, very drinkable IPA. Quaffable. Seriously. balanced. very hoppy but not in extremis. Had this at Bodega Brew Pub downtown La Crosse, Wisconsin in a bottle

Pale Amber Color with Big White Frothy Head. Really Nice Citrus and Green Hop Aroma. Carbonated with Alot of Balanced Hop Flavor. Dry Hopped Aftertaste. Nice Overall Standard for the Style.

This is an excellent IPA. Pours a golden color with a good head and a great deal of sediment. The smell has a citrusy, soapy smell with hops lingering. This is one of my favorite IPAís . Tastes really smooth and balanced. Good stuff.
