3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 hoosiers1994 (561) - Maryland, USA - OCT 11, 2010
12oz bottle poured into a pint glass. The aroma is of hops and a little floral to be precise. The appearance is dark golden with a thin head that dissipates with nice lacing. The taste is straightforward IPA, with Simcoe hops taking the most notable flavor. Resin and bitter are what I get. Palate is medium body with medium carbonation and a long bitter finish. Not a bad IPA, but would prefer others.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 17thfloor (2265) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 8, 2010
Bottle best by Feb 11, so probably bottled July/August-ish. Pours a bright orange with a dense frothy white sudsy head. Aroma is super juicy, citrusy, apricot, toasted biscuity malts. Flavor is super bitter upfront, mostly just bitter, bit metallic, bright punchy juicy orange, lacks a middle, long bitter chalky finish, vitamin-C, tangy tart sweetness matching the tangy hops, could use a bit more definition. Medium bodied, watery with sharp fizzy carbonation, missing something in the middle palate, just bitter and tart.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 NateBarnett (63) - Augusta, Georgia, USA - OCT 7, 2010
12oz bottle. Pours a golden orange with no head. Aroma is a bizarre musty citrus, perhaps due to opening several months after the "best by" date. Tastes of hops and citrus with sweet malts- pretty good flavor.
2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 rabba9 (115) - Chaska, Minnesota, USA - OCT 6, 2010
Before I begin I must add a caveat that I tried this for the first time past its prime as it is 5 months past best by date. Bottle pours a golden yellow with a thick white head. Pour is see through but there was a ton of yeast floating around that I waited for it to settle out. Aroma of citrus and flowery hop presence dominates. Taste is slightly sweet initially with a nice lingering grapefruit citrus finish. Medium body and carbonation. Excess head, yeast floaties, and flavor irregularies probably due to drinking an IPA past its prime. Look forward to trying it again and giving it a more favorable review.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Niko100 (1084) - New York, USA - OCT 2, 2010
Nice amber/gold color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of pine hops, citrus, & some floral; Flavor of rich pine hops, citrus (notably grapefruit & some orange), and light malt; Long bitter finish; Nicely balanced; Overall, really good IPA - I enjoyed this one.

UPDATED: JUL 9, 2011 Picked up a single 12oz bottle - Not a huge fan of this exceedingly dry IPA. Just because this is "definitely not a training-wheels IPA" doesn’t mean you don’t bother balancing this one with more malt. It’s not terrible, but not a repurchase for me. *On re-rate: enjoyed this a bit more the second time around. Picked up a little more malt to balance bitterness.

Gold color with small white head. flavor has nice fruity hop flavor and a slight bitterness. Good overall.
4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 rampmaster (643) - Alden, New York, USA - SEP 21, 2010
Presentation: It was poured from the tap and served in a pint glass at the Pizza Plant on Transit Rd. Williamsville, NY.
Appearance: It has a rich golden colored body with a slight haze. On top there is an off white or egg shell colored head that stands up tall and hangs on well. As I drink it makes perfect clingy lace rings on the pint glass.
Smell: Deep citrusy hop notes just fill my nose with some floral pine sneaking in there as well.
Taste/Palate: It has a firm hop character right up front which is backed up by a nice pale malt base. The pale malt gives a good balance with out too much sweetness. This lets the hops come out and shine with loads of delicious citrusy grapefruit and mild pine like flavor notes. The hop bitterness coats the palate and slowly fades off the tongue long into the finish. It has a good medium to full body with a spot on level of carbonation.
Notes: Outstanding!!! This is a great example of a West Coast IPA.
