Smuttynose IPA is a physical salute to the glory of the American hop grower. The citrusy hop flavor coming from a mixture of Simcoe and Santiams is pleasantly balanced by a smooth bitterness from the Amarillo hops. The beer itself is light bodied and crisp with a golden color that will throw a slight haze, as we bottle it unfiltered. At 65 IBU’s, this is definitely not a training-wheels IPA, but is meant for hop lovers looking to satisfy their craving in a way that’s not easy to find. We think they’ll be quite pleased.

Pours golden with a white head. Aroma is tropical fruit, citrus, grapefruit, and earthy pine. Flavor is citrus with caramel malt and grapefruit with a pine finish. Classic IPA. One of the best labels ever.

Kivääritehtaankadulla 4/2016. Balanced and fresh India pale ale. Maybe nothing very special, very good anyway.

Pours golden amber orange with a one finger white head with good lacing. Aroma is of citrus, pine, grassy hops, herbal hops, some dankness, bready sweet malts, and light caramel. Taste is pretty similar to the aroma. Has a medium body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a semi dry, moderately bitter, medium-long finish. Overall, a pretty tasty, well balanced, east coast style IPA.

Bottle. Slightly cloudy golden color, frothy white head. Pleasant aroma of dry straw and hops. Fairly dry, hoppy flavor with notes of grapefruit, aniseed, peppermint. Medium-full body, medium carbonation. Not my personal favorite.

Burk på En Trappa Upp, premiär på Pitchers ölhak, Örebro. Grumlig, orange med fluffigt vitt skum. Kola, kåda, granskott, apelsinskal, klibbig humlekotte. Ganska lätt kropp, men stor beska. Ligger kvar en bra stund i munnen. Lätt IPA som slinker ner snabbt, men med rejäl beska.

Aroma - pungent, floral, and citrus hops and caramel malt. Appearance - the body is a clean amber, with some minor nucleation. The head is tight and white and 2+". Foamy lacing. Taste - has a mix of floral, citrus, and pungent hops over a crystal malt. Palate - the body is medium, non oily texture, average carbonation, slight bitter finish.
