3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Papsoe (21782) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUL 9, 2010
Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of daknole. Pours a deep golden with a slight haze and an off-white head. Very fruity hop nose. Medium body, dry fruitiness, a little peachy. Hoppy finish. There’s a slight underlying residual sweetness in there, but the overall feel is dry. 090710
4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 Spelt (206) - East Kingston, New Hampshire, USA - JUL 5, 2010
I like this. Hazy honey-colored ale with an inch thick, rocky, off white head. Great lacing all the way down. Lovely mix of citrus, pine and malt in the aroma but hops understated in the nose. Taste is very strong piney. resiny hops up front that fade to reveal a very bready malty flavor with nice alcohol warmth. Long malt finish with bitterness and light astringency that’s actually pretty refreshing. Great carbonation and mouthfeel. Not too terribly dry. Definitely one to keep stocked in fridge.
3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 GMUcrew7 (508) - Mason, Ohio, USA - JUL 4, 2010
Light copper color pour, cloudy with some floating particles and a nice off white head. Aroma is somewhat faint, mostly citrus hops. The flavor is more pronounced, a little sweet from the malt at first, but a nice biting bitterness from the grapefruit citrusy hops. Medium body a little oily and sticky. Very good IPA.
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 TEJA (712) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUN 30, 2010
Draught at OT.
This is one of my favorite IPAs. It is fresh hoppy aroma and a big hop taste with a big bitterness. The beer is well fermented and has a prfect body for this type. I really love this and when we get it on tap at Oliver Twist it is just perfect.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 picknbrew (186) - Mechanicsville, Virginia, USA - JUN 28, 2010
12 oz. bottle. Light haze. Golden color. Citrusy hops aroma with a little bit of the caramel malt peaking thorugh. Grainy bready malt is present in the flavor but not sweet. Hops is king in this beer providing an assertively bitter finish. A delicious beer all the way through.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 AndyReynolds (597) - Wilder, Kentucky, USA - JUN 26, 2010
On tap, so I do not see the unfiltered. Aroma is strong with hops with a nice malt backbone. Notes of carmel, citrus, pine, and a tiny bit of black pepper come out. Palate is smoother than expected. Flavor brings out the bitter bite.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 TheOldKid (46) - Wisconsin, USA - JUN 19, 2010
12 oz. Bottle. Pours cloudy golden orange color with lots of sediment(not sure if this is usual) Thick frothy head - off white. Nice hop scent with floral and slight herb and citrus smell. Medium to heavy bitterness with a touch of sourness. Medium body with a little fizzy kick on the tongue, not too thick. Nice floral bitterness on the end. Overall a good tasting and smelling IPA. For me a reletively good "full package" IPA.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 DeadGuyPerez (106) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 18, 2010
Draft at the American Craft Beer Fest in Boston. Plenty of hops, plenty of malt, bitter but still mellow and balanced.
