light hazy gold, medium white head, quite a bit of lace. very airy aroma of malt with perhaps a touch of citrus. flavor is musty malt and a strong, dry hop bitternes, and creamy notes. full bodied, pleasingly bitter hop finish that lingers. surprisingly mouth-filling, nicely bitter.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 bsp77 (724) - Minnesota, USA - SEP 6, 2011
Serving glass: Poured from bottle into pint-like glass.
Appearance: Hazy gold with stark white head and light lacing.
Aroma: Earthy and spicy hops, some grapefruit and pine, and toasted malts.
Taste: Mixture of English and American hops. Both earthy and spicy, as well as nice levels of grapefruit and pine. Toasted malt backbone. Exceedingly bitter.
Palate: Moderate carbonation, medium body, bone-wrenchingly dry.
Overall: Cross between an American and an English IPA. Not quite enough flavor to support the extreme bitterness.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 kramer (3376) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 29, 2011
12 oz bottle. Pours a dark gold with a good bit of chunkie floaties churning about. Nice frothy white head that left some intricate lacing. The nose is nicely hoppy, with a distinct Simcoe component. Some bready pils malt below the hops. The flavor is a little on the lighter side as far as the bitterness goes, but there are some nice floral and citrusy flavors. Some bready and doughty malt below, but this seems squarely focused on the hops. Medium bodied, a touch clingy and sticky with moderate fizzy carbonation. Pretty nice IPA. I like mine a little brighter and crisper, but this is solid.

Bottle bonus thanks to ubufan2112 on BA! Hazy peach colored pour, spotty lacing and a soapy hop aroma. Flavor is light bitter orange, spruce and finished dry. Decent.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Cakes (213) - New Bloomfield, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 24, 2011
12oz bottle. Pours a light golden with a small white head. Aroma is sweet and hoppy, a mix of both caramel malts and piney hops, a touch of fruit character but surprisingly sweet. flavor starts with some sweet caramel and a bit of breadiness before opening to a more piney and fruity hop note. A touch of citrus before the lightly bitter finish.
3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Joel (10) - Massachusetts, USA - AUG 17, 2011
Pours golden and hazy with a thin white head. Faint bready aroma without any sign of hops. Moderately bitter hop flavor and finishes dry and mldly astringent. A very satisfying, well-done IPA that is a little dry and bitter with very mild citrus flavor.

Deep golden. Smells like a pilsner. Tastes like one, too, plus a light hoppy finish. Light in mouth.
