COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Smuttynose IPA is a physical salute to the glory of the American hop grower. The citrusy hop flavor coming from a mixture of Simcoe and Santiams is pleasantly balanced by a smooth bitterness from the Amarillo hops. The beer itself is light bodied and crisp with a golden color that will throw a slight haze, as we bottle it unfiltered. At 65 IBU’s, this is definitely not a training-wheels IPA, but is meant for hop lovers looking to satisfy their craving in a way that’s not easy to find. We think they’ll be quite pleased.

Just enough bitter to know this is an American ipa. But not too much. No aroma. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle, best by 07/19/16... Just in time. Pours copper with an off white head. Aroma is caramel, grass. Flavor is caramel, grapefruit, grass. Grapefruit pith bitterness in the finish. Best by dating must be fairly conservative, this is still balanced and drinking well.

I poured it from the bottle into a glass. It pours a hazy golden color with a white head and lacing. The aroma is floral hops and citrus. The taste is big on hops with hints of grapefruit and bread. There’s a lot of nice, dry bitterness with some subtle sweetness. Considering the alcohol content, it’s pretty refreshing and drinkable. This is a good IPA.

Clear, golden yellow colour and some offwhite lacing. Very citrusy aroma with some pine and hops in the background. Soft, hoppy taste with some malts as well, nice bitter finish and aftertaste. Mouthfeel is soft, medium carbonation, light body. Very solid, typical IPA.

Hauska ja leppoisa. Tasapainoinen vai tasapaksu, jää latteaksi lopulta, mutta seurustelujuomana oiva valinta.

From 2 cans of a pick a six, I have bought a few six packs of this before in bottles not sure why I didn’t get around to rating it. It’s thick and sandy up front, spicy, juicy, citrus, and very dry at the end.
