tommy8768 (120), Litlle Compton, Rhode Island, USA Nov 8, 2006 Nice orange color with a good sized foamy head. Nice hop aroma. Very good hoppy flavor and bitterness. An easy to drink IPA. Another winner from Smuttynose.
IlanMan (611), Winona, Minnesota, USA Nov 20, 2008 Bottle: Pour was medium golden with a full creamy white head. Aroma was of very fresh citrusy hops and light peach. Very full flavor with light sweetness and fresh hops. Fresh and great. Very easy and enjoyable drink. Would buy again. TearsforBeers (20), Ohio, USA Nov 19, 2008 Thanks to ucusty for this one!
Aroma - sweet, citrusy hops, yeast
Appearance - brownish orange/amber with very little white head
Flavor - hops up front, yeast, lingering roasty malt bitterness
Palate - slightly thin
Overall this is a good IPA, not glorious, but good. CaryTheDude (443), Ripon, Wisconsin, USA Nov 19, 2008 Crushed with Jakebra. Kinda hops and nast on the nose. Flavor is a little hops but more nast. Kinda sucks, and kinda isn’t very good but it’s tolerable. BlackForestCO (624), Fort Collins and Black Forest, Colorado, USA Nov 17, 2008 Bottle thanks to ucusty, thanks man. Poured a clear copper-orange color with a thick off-white head that slowly receded and left some decent lacing. Are of citrus fruit (orange, tangerine, light grapefruit), some light hoppiness, a bit of caramel malt, and a soft pine undertone. Fruity, citric entry with some orange and grapefruit that transitions into a piny, leafy hoppiness with a moderate resinous character coupled with a soft caramel maltiness. Moderate carbonation, decent mouthfeel. Nice, solid IPA. spnavitas456 (1), , Alabama, USA does not count Oct 29, 2008 This beer was definitly interesting, I know IPA’s are quite hoppy but gosh this was interesting. Poured smooth and smelt quite strong. My first IPA and I felt like I was drinking a pine tree. Very bitter aftertaste. Don’t get me wrong I enjoyed the beer, but I need to obviously try other IPA’s before I form I bias. I have a feeling I will begin to like them with time...quite interesting indeed.
