Smuttynose IPA is a physical salute to the glory of the American hop grower. The citrusy hop flavor coming from a mixture of Simcoe and Santiams is pleasantly balanced by a smooth bitterness from the Amarillo hops. The beer itself is light bodied and crisp with a golden color that will throw a slight haze, as we bottle it unfiltered. At 65 IBU’s, this is definitely not a training-wheels IPA, but is meant for hop lovers looking to satisfy their craving in a way that’s not easy to find. We think they’ll be quite pleased.

ugh, this tasted like it had been purposely skunked and given the name of the brewery it may well have been. yuck. didn’t like this at all.

Pretty good. Not much nose, light malty and light hop taste. Not much going on with this beer. Date seemed good but feel need to try again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Rated on 10-26-2015. This bottled beer formed a small white head that is mostly lasting, golden transparent body, slow rising carbonation, and one ring of lacing. The aroma is citrus hops, some pine hops, fruity, light earthiness, grapefruit, bitter, and caramel malt. This beer’s flavor is moderately bitter, citrus and herbal hops, grapefruit, malt, and a semi-dry finish. The mouthfeel is moderate carbonation and this is a medium bodied IPA. Overall, this beer is very drinkable and has a moderate bitter aftertaste. I enjoyed rating this beer as it is well brewed and it is a beer I would definitely partake in again and it is worth trying.

Carbonazione perfetta. Buona.

355 ml bottle. Slightly cloudy orange body with a fine and lasting white head. Orange, pine, biscuits and flowers in the nose. In the mouth, there’s more orange and sweet malt up front before a well integrated pine and pepper bitterness comes through. Lingering piney finish with a spicy aftertaste. Nice.
