DocHop (201), College Park, Maryland, USA Apr 29, 2008 Pours a pretty dark gold with a lot of floaties unless you’re careful. Nice medium bodied white head. Aroma is light apricot citrus and some floral hops. Taste is a pleasant fruity flavor for the start and then citrus and floral hops all the way. The finish is quite bitter, but it’s okay because the sweetness of the next sip balances it nicely.
fonefan (4884), Ulfborg, Denmark Oct 12, 2008 Cask (gravity) @ Great British Beer Festival, GBBF 2008, Earls Court, London, England SW5. Clear medium amber orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, grapefruit, lemon shell. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and heavy bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. (050808) CelticBrew (509), The Crystal Coast, North Carolina, USA Oct 11, 2008 Pours medium light amber, forming large white foamy head, from 22 oz bomber. Aroma of hops, malted caramel, hay and ocean water. Flavour of straw, hops and maltiness. Well, its an IPA, but I’m left somewhat uninspired. A decent beer, middle of the road IPA. zappafan99 (332), Rock Hill, South Carolina, USA Oct 6, 2008 taste 10/8 Bottle (Best by 3/09) Looks: Copper with a clingy head. Aroma:Caramel malt, pine/ hops. Taste: Oily, pine/ soapy hops. Nice. gsmitty80 (534), Washington DC, USA Oct 3, 2008 This is an excellent example of an IPA. Bold and strong aroma of hops overwhelms the drinker. Great pour with a nice head and lasting lacing. Tastes as to be expected with heavy hopping and a bitey finish. Great offering and packaging. branspra (47), Arlington, Virginia, USA Sep 28, 2008 Bottle. Average size head and white in color. Pours a yellow color with hints of straw and citrus. Slick texture and short flavor with a heavy bitter aftertaste. Actually not much in the way of hops for an IPA, and did not like that bitter ending.
