2013 bomber - maple color with off white pour. Nose of sweet malt, orange zest, and a little barrel. Taste is not very sweet and loses some of the barrel. Orange is still there. After taking a couple of hits I added some orange bitters at the advice of the trading partner who sent it. Taste did improve a touch. Many better options out there. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle sampled @ RBBWG 2014 - Thanks to jwale73 for the bottle! Pours clear bright amber with a small tan head. The smell is cherry, orange, caramel, rich fruit and vanilla. The taste is Bourbon, some alcohol heat, caramel, fruit, cherry. Medium body with silky, tight carbonation.

22 oz. bottle shared by mcox90, thanks a lot Mike! Amber color without any head retention. Aroma is mostly bourbon with thick amounts of toffee. Flavor is complex malts. Creamy caramel body with the bourbon notes being dominate until a light zesty citrus note to help cut through the malt sweetness in the finish. Body leans on the full side with a mild creamy texture. The ABV does make itself known after 6 oz. or more. nice warming after the sip. Really nice sipping brew.

18/I/14 - 1Pt. 6Fl. Oz. bottle @ RBBWG III, my place - bottled: VI/27/13 (2014-109) Thanks to ThirstyBird for sharing the bottle!

Clear deep orange beer, aery irregular off-white to yellow head, unstable, dissipates rather quickly. Aroma: sugary, sweet, dried fruits, vanilla, sweet malts, cookie dough, almonds. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: some vanilla, sugary, caramel, orange peel, bit sourish, more vanilla. Aftertaste: lots of vanilla, bit hoppy, grassy touch, lemon peel bitter touch, bit of a bitter unpleasant ending.

66cl bouteille @ RBBWG III, thanks ThirstyBird.

65 cl. bottle sampled @ RBBWG 2014. Courtesy of & thx! to ThirstyBird. Darker amber / copper. Nose is sweet, full of vanilla, caramel, toffee, oranges, bourbon goo, faint hops. Taste is very bitter upfront, quite a bit of hops, grapefruit, orange peel, leading into caramel, toffee, brown sugar, wood vanilla, sweet bourbon, thick malts, slightly warming. Rich body. Lovely stuff.

22 oz. bottle from Julios, of coarse. Pours a slightly cloudy amber/orange with a one finger dense off white head. Strong bourbon, oak and orange peel aroma. Kind of almost burns. Quite enticing. Lots of orange peel and a heavy malt presence on the flavor. Notes of vanilla, brown sugar and more bourbon and the barrel it was aged in. In your face alcohol. Fairly heavy body with a strong alcohol finish. Very nice!
