on tap @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Nice aroma of malt and burlap. Clear amber brown color, off-white head that drops to a light cover, hanging strands of lace. Taste is strong semi-sweet malt that gathers more sweeteners and mild carbonation on the swallow, then light bittering leading to a finish that gains alcohol warmth as it lingers. Big and full of alcohol but not complex, satisfying as a Brandy. Almost too much for my palate.

Pours a barely translucent copper from growler with a very thin light head. Smells and tastes quite sweet with some butterscotch, almost too sweet though. Otherwise itís a mediocre barley wine. Does NOT taste itís alcohol content

Very nice stuff. Pours brown with decent head. A touch of wine and oak and some citrus. Everything well integrated. Light sweet and sour finish. Tastes much lighter than alcohol level. Tap at Churchkey.

I am very impressed with this beer. It is reddish golden in color. I had it in tap and it was mildly carbonated, which I prefer. The head is small an white, but is quite aromatic. For the money, this beer has a huge ABV at over 10%. Somewhat sweet with a hoppy aftertaste. Reminds me of what I love in a Belgian Quad. A strong and delicious beer...
