I love this beer; it’s probably my favorite beer classified on RateBeer as a brown ale. It’s moderately hoppy without being overwhelming, and it seems to achieve a balance that I’d like...relatively dry for a brown ale, not as much as some stouts but enough that it’s refreshing. Seems pretty complex too. I became a huge fan of this beer when I live in CT and it was pretty widely available; here in PA I drink it less only because it’s less available. It’s described as full-bodied but to me, in spite of its high ABV, this beer has a certain lightness to it, perhaps because it’s a little less sweet.

Sample at hayseed. Pours brown with a khaki head. Leaves some lacing in the glass. Solid caramel on the nose. A bit sweet on the tongue normally but it does cut the spice of this jambalaya nicely. Finished clean. Solid beer though I like my brown ales to be nuttier

Fad. Fantastisk at får to amerikanske ratings i Seoul på en tilfældig pub i Itaewon. Bedste kvarter i Seoul for øl by far. Man kan tydeligt mærke den amerikanske indflydelse. Brun lys let brændt og sødlig. Fin øl.
