COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Old Brown Dog has been cited as a classic example of the "American Brown Ale" style of beer. Compared to a typical English Brown Ale, Old Brown Dog is fuller-bodied and more strongly hopped.

12 Oz. Bottle. Poured a reddish amber color a bit cloudy. Aroma of cocoa and malts. Taste is fruity, caramel and hops; nicely balanced a slight bitter finish, medium body. Very drinkable and tasty brown ale.

This is a really nice brown ale. Lots of make flavors, crusty bread, touch of Caramel. Slight hop flavor. Very smooth.

355ml brown bottle. An orange-brown colour with fine haze and a small thin beige cap. Nose has chocolate malt, toasty. Taste has chocolate malt, grains, nutty and toasted malts, light hops. Dries out in the finish. Nice mouthfeel, medium body. A decent brown ale.

355ml bottle pours brown in color with 2 fingers of light tan head that leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is light chocolate and roasted grains with some herbal and citrus notes. Taste is a chocolate malty sweetness with a light roasted grain and citrus hop bitterness finishing with some herbal notes. Medium bodied with decent carbonation. Overall, well balanced and tasty and worth checking out.

Aroma is dark chocolate and a bit of bread crust, almost like a burnt toast. Light brown in color with reddish highlights. Medium sized white head. Taste is lightly sweet initially followed by a light bitterness. Finishes slightly dry and quenching. Decent brown beer

Draught at Taphouse. Slightly hazy amber colour with a lazing, white head. Toasted aroma with caramel, fruits, subtle liqourice, citrus. Taste is lightly bitter. Medium body, creamy texture. Finishes dry and toasted with caramel malts. Nice brown ale.

Pour on tap, dark reddish brown pour with white head, aroma brought notes of dark chocolate, earth, hints of caramel, toffee, some slight red fruits into a bit of nuts, slight yeast. Taste was a mix of caramel, toffee, hints of cocoa, slight nutty notes into a nice grassy, earthy note into a bit of grain, finishing fairly sweet.
