3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This is my "cheater" beer - it pairs amazingly well with absolutely anything you might grill. Great balance of malts and hops and a good flavor that doesnít overwhelm or leave you wishing for more. If thereís a BBQ, cookout, or summer get-together, this is the first thing I reach for.

on tap. marrone, velata, schiuma beige fine non molto persistente. aroma tostato, quasi bruciacchiato. caramello, malto, melassa e frutta secca. Gusto abboccato, dolciastro e tostato allo stesso tempo. Di nuovo frutta secca (nocciola). finale erbaceo luppolato. corposa, rotonda, piena, poco carbonata. equilibrata ed armonica. un filo troppo luppolata per lo stile.

Cask at gbbf 2015 day 4. Nice reddy amber coloured pour with a fading loose greyish head. Aroma is dry candied ginger, spicy wood, bit odd. Some pine needle hop on the nose as well. Flavour is composed of nutty grains, faint toasted bread, wood, some stale malts, ginger. Palate is light, semi sweet, lowish carbonation. OK, maybe not in great condition

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Signal Variety, Plaistow NH. Aroma is bread, cereal malt, hint of caramel. Appearance is clear light amber color with minimal head, fair sparkle, minimal lacing. Taste is moderately sweet. Palate is medium bodied with thick texture with average carbonation that gives a little zing to the tip of the tongue. Not much finish. Overall, a drinkable brown ale. Itís not complex and itís not terribly strong, but competent.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at taps beer garden, Newark airport. Sweet caramel malt aroma with light hoppy notes. Pours caramel colored with a thin off-white head with on retention and some lacing. Starts with sweet caramel malt flavor as well some toffee in there as well. Finishes smooth with a touch of hoppiness in an otherwise sweet beer. Nice example of an American brown.
