| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 9, 2008 Bottle: Pours a hazy orange with a wispy off white head. The aroma is sofly sweet, along with toasted pale malt undertones- has a touch of crystal as well. Sweet squash, vanilla, clove and cinnamon are all there, but minimal. Mildly spicy. Has a velvety feel, with evident toasted pale malt upfront which precedes mild cinnamon and clove in the middle, followed with a toasted, peppery finish. Not much pumpkin character comes through, and the spices are there, yet remains homogeneous and predominately peppery. Still, it’s not bad. joeymacaroni (181), West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA

Hazy gold.
Abit spicy, a bit fruity, rather thin.
Pepper and cinnamon over a fruity beer.
I have problems with a few beer styles - kölsch, mild and, now, pumpkin ale. They don’t thrill me at all. True to style for all I know, and unlikely to harm anyone if consumed in moderation. Rciesla (3600), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 2, 2008 Bright orange. Thick creamy off-white head. Medium-spiced, coppery malts, fairly strong pure pumpkin aroma. Good carbonation level, soft, gentle and nice. Medium body, not too spiced and not too vegetal. Good dose of hops to balance the squash sugars. Nice, mellow, and balanced. JohnQPublic (387), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 1, 2008 Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange amber with a thick, creamy, long lasting off-white head that never went away. Nose is primarily caramel malt with an undertone of grassy hops, with just a bit of pumpkin in there, but not much. Taste is caramel malt up front with hints of nutmeg and cinnamon, with caramel sweetness emerging as the carbonation pushes past, only to quickly move to a combination of grassy hops, cinnamon and nutmeg, and a definite vegetal pumpkin note. Medium body, with medium carbonation.
