Oct 20, 2006 Pours a hazy light amber/orange with little head. Aroma was full of pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, maybe a bit of nutmeg. Flavor was a bit weak in the pumpkin and thin in the body. I was expecting a bit more from the Smuttynose people.

Oct 16, 2006 on tap-pours a white head with gold color. Aroma is nutmeg, allspice, pumpkin. Taste is nutmeg, allspice, pumpkin, some bitterness. Good effervescence.

Oct 16, 2006 12 oz- Pours a hazy orange-brown with a nice tan head. Not a big fan of hoppier beers, this one is not for me. A little bitter and more hop flavor than pumpkin spices.

Oct 15, 2006 Sweet and spicey aroma,like the little spice gumdrops, plenty of cinnimon, orange gold color, taste is malt pumkin pie spice and pumkin, there is a sharp bitterness at the end that dries it all out,not sure I like that ending

Oct 14, 2006 12 oz bottle-Pours a nice cloudy orange color w/a moderate foamy head. Has a distinctive spiced aroma. Good looking beer, good smelling beer, not a good tasting beer, at least not to me. Does have a distinctive Pumpkin flavor which I didn’t find very enjoyable. Crisp & clean w/a lot of carbination, but just found it to be a very odd flavor combination. Sharp pumpkin flavored hops?? Not a lot of balance, seemed to have a soapy or medicinal aftertaste, would be better if it had some kind of sweet or bitter finish. This was my first Pumpkin Ale, wanted to keep an open mind @ it & try one, this will likely be my last.

Oct 12, 2006 looks nice with a nice head, spicy aroma, same overly heavy spicy taste, a bit bitter, a decent brew i just think these pumkin beers have a bit to much spice in the flavor

Oct 12, 2006 From a 12 oz. long neck brown bottle with a best before date along the left side of the label, Jan/07.
Poured a hazy pumpkin orangey golden with a foamy off-white head that settled into a thin bubbly lacing, small amount of laced sticking.
Aromas of pie spices, pumpkin flesh and a light sweet maltiness.
Good carbonation and a malty crisp, smooth medium bodied mouthfeel.
Tastes of pie spices and pumpkin, not pie filling-like, but raw pumpkin, a nice earthy sweet maltiness and a dryish spicy, malty finish.
A really nice pumpkin ale, one of the better ones I’ve had this fall.

Oct 12, 2006 Well done. Clean, crisp with solid pumpkin flavor. Spices are not overdone. I would prefer a bit more hops. Not as good as dfh pa but not as expensive either.
