weak flavor, aroma, and palate. not bad - but smuttynose is such a good brand and this just falls way short.\\ Holdwine (908), Beertimore, Maryland, USA

Probably shouldn’t have tried it right after mowing the lawn, but the spiciness did hit the spot. jason (1621), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA

Maybe the best pumpkin ale i’ve ever had. very nice aroma. deep amber color that was thick. flavor is very well balanced with a good blend of spices. Not too overpowering. No bad aftertaste which i usually find with pumpkin ales. Good brew. Cheers! jefcon (998), Arlington, Virginia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Aug 30, 2006 Just a little head on this glowing orange-brown beer. Smells of, you guessed it, pumpkin and pumpkin pie spice. Tastes pretty spicy up front, but the pumpkin taste, while slight (and THAT is appreciated), is lacking. Kind of a dirty finish to this brew. Overall, a conservative and not bad effort at the style. LyndaNova (493), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 30, 2006 Cold 12oz bottle: Pours a clear amber color with a small amount of ivory bubbles. Aroma is of cinnamon and pumpkin. Taste is of nutmeg and sweet malt. Starts more bitter and definitely ends sweet. DarkMagus (433), San Jose, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 29, 2006 Nice frothy, foamy head that settles into a thin layer of bubbles on the surface. Citusy aroma of grapefruit, pumpkin, spices (nutmeg, cinnamon), hops, malt. Overall a predominantly hoppy flavor, but with a great pumpkin presence and elements of malt and grains. Pretty good, although these sorts of beers aren’t usually my thing. BitchesBrew (710), Berkeley, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 29, 2006 [bottle] Excellent appearance- bright amber with a full, frothy head. Excellent lacing on the glass. Aroma is very spicy- nutmeg, cinnamon and certainly some pumpkin. Kind of has some odd soapy smell going on as well. Flavors are pretty much right on, as expected. Sweet ginger and nutmeg make up most of the initial flavors, giving way to a nice spiciness towards the end. kevin62 (267), New Jersey, USA
