Pour is orange golden hazed with a one inch off white head. Aroma of clove, cinnamon and pumpkin pie spiciness. Clean, bright, perhaps a bit much, though it is a pumpkin beer. Taste is big pumpkin, clove and black pepper. The palate is medium, grassy and drying. Decent pumpkin beer. Thanks for sending this to me Brian. Dandman629 (28), Ashburn, Virginia, USA

But this is a pretty good pumpkin ale. Most beers brewed by Smuttynose are pretty good. Has the nice copper color and refreshing crisp palate. Typical pumpkin spice taste but still pretty decent. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 26, 2008 Pours an orange copper with a very small head and noticeably high level of carbonation. Aroma heavy with spice, yeast, mustiness, and some sour malt. Flavor is interesting- not too sweet like most autumn based ales, but almost on the bitter side. Not particularly pleasant, but certainly unique and curious. The spice makes it more palatable, but this is one of Smutty’s stranger creations. Not bad, but no where near the top of the list coming from their brewery. Ibrew2or3 (2724), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 2, 2008 Courtesy of Sea Bass. Pours deep gold with copper core and thin white head. The aroma is sweetness, pumpkin, faint spices and Belgian candi sugar. The taste is big sweetness bringing up pumpkin notes, mild spices, sugar sweet malts, a moderate level of spicy hop ting and some fruity esters. Pretty good brew.
