The aroma was yeasty and hoppy. It was orange with good lace. Fizzy carbonation. In a word, ginger - but it worked. Nice spices and balanced sweet sour that I would like in a sauce. Dry finish. Very good craftsmanship. I will have again. blankboy (3263), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 21, 2005 2 bottles shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow & tupalev -- courtesy of HogTownHarry & myself. Pours a bubbly clear orange with a small diminishing white head. Wonderful aroma of pumpkin pie (cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and pumpkin) along with some malt and hops. The flavour follows the aroma and is so much more flavourful then most other pumpkin beers -- It’s much spicier and hoppier then most. Medium bodied. What a pleasant surprise this beer was, I certainly wasn’t expecting much but it was really good. I need to get more! SuIIy (1504), Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 19, 2008 Bottle. Love this stuff. Pours a dark, pumpkiny orange color with a small white foamy head. Nose is pumpkins and spices. Palate is the standard smutty, thick but fizzy, and the flavors are of pumpkins, a nice caramel malt, and some hints of nutmeg. fbennett (293), Lowell, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 23, 2006 This is a great pumkin ale, This beer pours a thin white lace that disappates quickly. The smell is pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar. The color is a nice amber very clear and nice. The taste is very smooth, it has a nice hoppy kick with each sip as well as a nice pumpkin flavor that is enhanved with some cinnamon, nutmeg, and some allspice.
This is def a great pumpkin beer, this would pair very well with some roasted pork loin marinated with brown sugar, cinnamon, and some allspice to mirror the flavors in the beer and it would be great with the obvious pumpkin pie.

This is a really solid ale and the best pumpkin ale I’ve ever had. not a big fan of the style but this is one I could drink with no problem.

Not normally a big fan of pumpkin beers, but enjoyed this one. Some in the style just reek of pumpkin and brown sugary spices - there’s nothing subtle to them. This one was delicious, though. Balanced the maltiness with the pumpkin spice. Very pleasant on the palate - I had two. Will always remember this one fondly (which may have something to do with the fact that I was holding my 2-week old niece the whole time I drank the beers!) joeymacaroni (243), Wagontown, Pennsylvania, USA
