blindeyedbetty (94), Arlington, Virginia, USA Oct 27, 2007 12 oz. bottle Poured cloudy amber-red with thin white head. Very pungent spicy aroma which dissipates somewhat while beer is breathing. Flavor of mild pumpkin, nutmeg, clove and cinnamon with malty front palate, a bready middle with flowery finish and slightly hoppy aftertaste. This is nice. A very ’fall’ like beer for colder weather that can stand up to heartier fare, but one might be mindful to watch the flavors while pairing.

Pours orange with a beige head. Pumpkin pie spice aroma with nutmaeg and a bit of lemon. Flavor is spicy, with nutmeg and clove. Not bad. GangGreen712 (44), Woodstock Valley, Connecticut, USA Aug 19, 2008 Smells of cinnamon, moderately light palate, tastes of nutmeg. Slightly bitter with a nice, spicy finish. A great fall beer. harrisoni (5121), Ashford, Kent, England Aug 18, 2008 Cask at GBBF 08. Clear copper, lasting beige head. Definitely a spicy aroma. Lots of dried spice, nutmeg. I guess it’s a style you like or don’t. This is ok. I mean it’s interesting and the spice never runs away with it. Imaena (240), Portland, Maine, USA Jul 13, 2008 Bottle Bangor 08.’
I think the bottle I had was a bit off. Decent but slightly skunky. Lots of spice and a little pumpkin. Eh.
