3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12th August 2008
Cloudy chocolate brown beer with a good cream coloured head. Softish palate, a bit dry. Rich malt with a brandy tone. Smooth and creamy - well offset by good bittering hops that come to the fore in the creamy finish. Quite a contrast but very drinkable.

Tons more brown sugar, along with raisin, ripe plum, toffee and caramel. Somewhat syrupy and thick, with lingering sticky sweetness. A very deep beer with a dynamic flavor profile.
