COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Rhye IPA bulls its way into our lineup because we love really hoppy beers and were looking for an opportunity to play with rye malt and add a boatload of hops. Would rhino enjoy the big flavor? We don’t know, but let us know if you find out.

Pours cloudy orange with thick off-white foamy head. Smells of hops, light yeast, and light citrus. Tastes of hops, malts, citrus, bitter, and light sourness. Has a thick mouth feel with light carbonation.

Bottle. Fairly light-colored pour, golden/amber, slightly hazy. Firm pillow-top of a head. The aroma is a little musty ... maybe even a hint at wild fermentation? The beer drinks with a bit of grit, an interesting rye twist predominates. There’s definitely a full-on American hop sting riding the wavetops. I can drink this in great volumes. (#5476, 3/28/2014)

>> Pours a murky tangerine color with nice, off-white creme topper. Nose is sticky orange, sweet tangerine. Taste is husky grain, big silky rye dextrin, tangerine peel. Not so bad. Big density.

Light amber colour, white head. Aroma of hops, straw, rye bread and rubber. Bitter flavour, hops, rubber, hard bitter. Bitter hoppy finish and (again) rubber.

Bomber from Woodmans in the Falls. Pours a clear orange with a foamy white head leaving a lot of spongy lacing. Aroma has pine, citrus, and some bread. Taste is of sweet rye, tangy pine needles, some lemon and faintly some biscuity malts. Very dry and quite sweet. Medium bodied with a tinge of alcohol. Finishes to the sweet side of bittersweet, with length, and bone dry. Not the hoppiest brew, but between the pine and the rye, possibly the driest.

22 oz bomber. Pours a slightly hazy golden orange with a small white head that leaves plenty of lacing. Big aroma of citrus, (grapefruit, orange, tangerine), biscuits, wheat, rye, bit of pine. Taste is tangerine, grapefuit, wheat, dough, with a hint of rye, pine and peach. a bit of a let down after the nice aroma. Rye taste and spicyness is very subdued. Very dry and bitter finish full of citrus hops and wheat malt. Medium bodied, slick texture with a bit of thickness to it, medium-high carbonation. Certainly a good IPA, but I was hoping for a stronger rye presence. Worth your time and money.

UPDATED: JUN 28, 2014 rerate of another 2013 bottle conditioned bomber into Le Duvel - more citrus this time and bigger body. fairly bitter. Malty backbone but definitely more hops than not.
Bomber (bottle conditioned in 2013) - I grace this beverage by pouring it into my Duvel tulip glass. I like the smell better from the bottle than from the glass. From the bottle it’s grapefruit but from the glass I especially get dust. Very hoppy in the finish, but not a big as advertised. Front end is weak. Underwhelmed overall. Don’t dislike it, but the body is too thin, perhaps because it is too cold. Not a fan. Well, let’s kill this rhino and finish the green tea before it cools. 6/4/7/2/12 or 3.1 on 3/8/2014

Tåkete brunorange i fargen med tynt hvitt skum. Appelsinskall, grape korn og humlelukt. Stram bitter humle og grape i smaken. Bitterheten sitter godt igjen.
