One of my new favorite porters. Pours black with tan head. Aromas are beautiful roasted nuts and coffee. More nuttiness in the flavors as well as coffee and chocolate notes. Yum.

Appearance is a slightly transparent light brown/deep deep tan. Pours a nice tan/creamy head. In the nose, I get roasty coffee with a bit of chocolate. The taste is a very nice, if slightly thin robust porter. Chocolate and coffee notes are there. Has a very light finish...not a dry one, which I personally don’t like in this style. Leaves a lingering bitter coffee taste, not unpleasant though. A really nice beer overall.

11th July 2014 on-tap at the Crow Bar, Orange County. Very dark body, might even be black, difficult to tell in the downstairs of the Crow Bar as it is fairly dark. Deeply tanned head. Coffee and chocolate aromas and taste dominate the brew a really malty roasted feel to it. Semi-sweet overall and a decent beer to finish the night on, as was the case this evening.

As good a robust porter as you are ever going to fine, deep roasted malts, assertive hops... smooth, just a bit more fullness desired.

Bottled. Black with a large, thick tan head. Rich aroma: milk chocolate, cocoa powder, dark roast coffee, wet soil, light mint leaves. Mildly sweet at first, turning mild-to-moderately bitter as coffee beans and chocolate malts come to the forefront. Roasted pecans, light black tea, slightly charred wood notes flow in and out during the flavor profile. A rather flawless porter.

Opaque, near black with a creamy tan head and excellent lacing.
Aroma of smoky roasted malt, caramel and roasted coffee.
Taste of roasted coffee, dark chocolate, roasted malt, wood duff and burnt sugar.
Full/medium body and low/medium carbonization.

Pours a deep black/brown with a medium creamy beige head. Aroma is coffee, smoked wood chips, chocolate, grassy hop. Flavor is bitter hop, roasted / smoked malts, some dark fruit & licorice. Finish is lightly bitter, definite ash in the taste. Very solid all around, med body / avg carbo.

12oz into a pint, pours a thick black and burnt brown shade of darkness, taste is midly hoppy, carbination is delicate and direct, malt presence is a main stay as it fortifies the brew in the porter sense, dry to the tounge, coca, old coffee, dark fruits, a full bodied porter here with a backbone to support it. Not really a porter fan, so one is enough, but a good one it was. Sampled from a variety pack Julio brought over.

Pours black, mocha head. Aroma of coffee. Taste is chocolate, caramel, espresso, very complex, great finish and mouth feel. Just the right carbonation. Love it!

Petite bouteille trouvée à Richford. Meilleure avant le 28 octobre 2014. Une robe presque noire. Une tête qui s’évapore rapidement. Une jolie dentelle. Mon nez aime beaucoup les arômes de pain brûlé, de torréfaction, de sirop d’érable et de chocolat. Au goût, mes papilles restent bien accrochées aux délicieux malts et houblons: j’adore la pointe citronnée derrière les céréales bien norcies. En bouche, j’apprécie sa structure crémeuse et la vivacité de son corps. En finale, je me régale de cette longue tirade d’amertume offerte par les cultivars et les grains rôtis. Quel excellent porter!
