12oz pour from bottle into pint glass. Light cocoa and coffee up front with a lasting coffee finish. Was a little disappointed due to the hype, but overall an above average porter I’d recommend to someone looking for a little more of a kick.

It’s robust. Solid taste of chocolate and roast coffee in the malt. A little bitterness in the hops but not too much. Medium bodied and quite drinkable. A little smokey.

Brown creamy head. Dark brown colour. Aroma is malty with light fruity (cherries), earthy, dark chocolate and coffee notes. Flavor is malty too with chocolate, licorice and light banana tones, ending in a dry dark, chocolatey finish. Medium bodied.

Draft sample at the Cherry Blossom Beer & Wine fest a week ago, opaque dark brown color with light tan head. Aroma notes of roasted malt, dark coffee, chocolate and some smoke. Taste adds cocoa, espresso, ash and some herbal hops. Light-medium body, low-moderate carbonation, dry, soft with roast finish. Not many dark styles here so this is very tasty and appreciated.

Idiosynkrasie (4539) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - APR 14, 2015
350ml bottle. Opaque, darkest brown colour with average to huge, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, beige head. Dusty, chocolately, dark malty aroma, hints of cocoa, unroasted coffee beans. Taste is initially dry, chocolately, roasty, spicy dark malty with subtle sweetness, slightly dusty, later with more and more resinous hoppy influences; lasting, bitter, roasty, spicy finish, full body, super soft palate. Paradigmatic.

No, so robust wie es angekündigt wird, ist es nicht, aber dennoch schön knackig mit einer leichten Schärfe im Hintergrund. Etwas Stroh, Röstmalze, etwas Kaffee und ein Schuss Hopfen. Gute Sache.

Bottle from Rudat in Dortmund. The beer has got a deep black/ dark brown colour with a steady, creamy head and smooth body. Aroma of roast, malt and chocolate. Taste of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, dark bread and toasted biscuits. Smooth to drink, very quaffable. Enjoyed it.

Bottle. Nose is sweet coffee, malt, toast, chocolate. Taste is leading bitterness, with a gentle undercurrent of chocolate, coffee, and smoke. Notes of ash, vanilla and hazelnut emerge on subsequent tastes. Mouthfeel is good. A note perfect porter.

A fine porter. Non-sweet. Quite roasty. Hops are plentiful, which makes this interesting. recommended!!

Dark cola-colored beer with a thin beige head that disappears quickly. Rich roasted nose of dark coffee, molasses, and semi-sweet chocolate. Flavor is equally rich with the bitter coffee hitting immediately followed up by some sweetness, including vanilla, toffee, and prunes. This is then finished with a mild bitterness with underlying roasted grain. Good beer.
