Dry potent porter that I had in Riverhead at diggers - hop is perfectly masked by the malt - a little thin on the finish - nice choice

0,355 l bottle (BB 27/11/2014). Pitch black with a thick, creamy, stable, light brown head. Heavy aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee and cocoa powder. Sweetish-bitter, coffee-like taste with dark chocolate and hints of prunes and raisins. Full body, creamy mouthfeel, long, slightly bitter finish. Great porter which leaves nothing to be desired.

355ml bottle. Pours a near black/caramel with a two finger, tan head. Aroma has big, slightly sweet, notes of roasted malts, chocolate, and some mild hops. Taste is rich but balanced. Dark chocolate and cocoa with some hop bitterness, and a smooth finish. Medium body and carbonation. Clean in the mouth with a slightly creamy texture and a mildly dry finish. Overall very tasty. Big dark chocolate and cocoa powder. Not as sweet as say the Founders Porter but still tasty.

single bottle from LCBO. Black with average head. Toffee/ espresso aroma dominated aroma. On the palate it is quite burnt toast like and fairly aggressive. Very tasty.

355ml bottle, pours black wih an off white head, dark, roasty malts, hazelnut and some smokiness over citrussy hop with a long bitter and dry chalky finish. Hoppy for a porter but balanced nicely.

12 ounce bottle pours a dark darker black color with a nice foamy tan head that dissipates slowly. Aromas of coffee and toffee. Coffee and dark chocolate flavoring high level of carbonation. Medium bodied. A bit of a harsh aftertaste.

Smells delicious, notes of dark roasted malt, metallic, soy, tarry notes. Completely black with a rapidly fading dark brown head. Delicious beer, upfront more metallic and roasty notes in the taste, finishes with leafy hops and a building bitterness. Not too sweet. Medium bodied and average carbonation. Tons of flavor for the ABV and those that I personally like -- a great Porter.
