Sweet chocolate roastiness in the nose. Opaque black with a ruby glow around the edges of the glass. Rich creamy mouthfeel with a mineral bitterness on the finish. Notes of milk chocolate, caramel, and hint coffee. Cheers!

Dark cola-colored beer with a thin beige head that disappears quickly. Rich roasted nose of dark coffee, molasses, and semi-sweet chocolate. Flavor is equally rich with the bitter coffee hitting immediately followed up by some sweetness, including vanilla, toffee, and prunes. This is then finished with a mild bitterness with underlying roasted grain. Good beer.

On tap at Brunzies. Nice roasted malted smoky nose, but a bit of fetid gas-earthy smell that was a bit off-putting. Dark brown-black opaque with thin tan head. Medium body with medium carbonation. Nice roasted malt, robust tang, molasses, smoke, chocolate. Big hop bitter with light nutty astringent character, light bitter lactose after.

Dark choc, earthy hops, and roasted barley dominate the aroma, which also has some brown sugar, coffee, pine, and a whisper of licorice. The mouthfeel is medium, with a medium body and sustained effervescence. The taste is bitter, with very minor sugary sweetness that is otherwise dominated by ash, coffee, dark chocolate, and earthy flavors, which drag on to a slow, dry, roasty finish. Great beer—just what you expect it to be.

was bei mir hier leider dominiert ist der zu ausgeprägte alkoholische Geschmack, etwas zu viel des Guten.
