This is a pretty nice scotch ale and I would buy it again if the price was right.

Poured a cloudy, foggy, dark brown color with little pieces floating and settling towards the bottom of the glass. It poured a thick head but halfway through there wasn’t much left. Malty aroma, with a stronger malt, tangy flavor with some spices and brown sugar. Was a little harsh. Not terrible but I probably won’t get it again.

22 oz. bottle. Pours a dark brown with some murky reddish brown highlights when held against a light. Moderate tan colored head which lasted until about mid-glass and left sheets of lace after each sip. Pleasant aroma of malt, brown sugar and some peat. The flavor is very nice with some good earthy peat, gentle smoke, brown sugar and malt. As the beer warmed, a bit of the alcohol emerges. Medium bodied. This is a damned tasty scotch ale!

22 oz. bottle. Pours a clear dark brown color with a 1/2" off white head & spotty lacing. Nose was brown sugar with a hint of smoke. Mouthfeel was moderate with a bit of carbonation. Flavor was brown sugar, caramel with a smoky peat background. Alcohol is kept in the background.

Bottle. Dark brown color with off white 1 finger head. Smell is malty, candy sugar, dark fruit and light smoke. Taste is same. nice Smokey taste and the candy sugar is there and a light caramel. . Decent mouth feel with light carbonation. Not bad but not my favorite for this style.

From jjpm74 via trade. Thank you! Poured a mostly clear dark brown with lots of lighter ruby easily coming through. The head was almost two-fingers tall and struggled to maintain. Minimal spots of lacing. The aroma was malt and sweet candied sugar. Pretty straightforward Scotch ale without much smoked peat to reign it in. Same is true of the flavor. Nice malty sweetness and there is a hint of smoke on the backside, but overall it’s more sweet than smoke. The mouthfeel was nice enough. Thanks again!

Bomber - Poured a cloudy dark brown in color with a small whitish head. Aroma is malty sweet with a hint of smokiness. Flavor is quite sweet and smoky, but not overpoweringly so. Finishes clean with a lingering sweetness. I like it...

A scotch ale I really liked. Great malt and candi makes this very drinkable and popular, carrying the peat moss smoke, which is controlled and you can smell it. Above average hoppiness and rich brown chcolately colour. Above average carbonation.
